Son De Sol
Son de Sol (in English, ''Sound of the Sun'') is a Spanish flamenco-pop band, made up of three sisters (Sole, Esperanza and Lola León) from Écija, Seville, Andalusia. The trio represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, which was held in Kyiv. Eurovision Song Contest 2005 In the national pre-selection contest, broadcast by Televisión Española on the 4 and 5 March 2005, the group's song "BrujerÃa" (''Witchcraft'') secured 24.2% of the vote, placing them ahead of the hot favourites Las Supremas de Móstoles by a margin of just 2.4%. The song was produced by Manuel Ruiz (aka Queco), who was also responsible for "The Ketchup Song (Aserejé)" by Las Ketchup, a massive international hit. Son de Sol were one of fourteen entries with a bye directly into the grand final in Kyiv on 21 May, in which they also competed against ten qualifiers from the semi-final. Écija
Écija () is a city and municipality of Spain belonging to the province of Seville, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is in the countryside, 85 km east of the city of Seville. According to the 2008 census, Écija had a total population of 40,100 inhabitants, ranking as the fifth most populous municipality in the province. Las Ketchup is a Spanish girl group founded by flamenco record producer Manuel "Queco" Ruiz. The group, which consists of sisters LucÃa, Lola, and Pilar Muñoz (later to be joined by a fourth sister RocÃo), is best known for the 2002 hit single, "The Ketchup Song (Aserejé)", a single that sold over seven million copies worldwide. "Un Blodymary" (; "A Bloody Mary") is a song recorded by Spanish group Las Ketchup. The song was written by Manuel Ruiz Gómez "Queco". Ramón del Castillo Palop (born 3 May 1985) is a Spanish singer best known for representing Spain at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul. "The Ketchup Song (Aserejé)" () is the debut single by Spanish pop group Las Ketchup, taken from their debut studio album '' Hijas del Tomate'' (2002). The song is about a young man who enters a nightclub while singing and dancing. In addition to the original Spanish version, the song exists in a form with Spanglish verses, although the nonsensical chorus is identical in both versions. "The Ketchup Song" was released on 10 June 2002 and became an international hit the same year.
