The AFC President's Cup was an annual international association football competition between domestic clubs sides run by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held between 2005 and 2014. The competition targeted emerging football nations, and was set below the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup competitions. Competition format Between 8 and 12 teams participated in each edition of the competition. From 2005 to 2007, 8 clubs were placed into two groups of 4 teams. 2020 FC Edmonton Season
The 2020 FC Edmonton season was the club's ninth competitive season as well as their second in the Canadian Premier League. In their previous season, FC Edmonton finished 3rd in the Spring season and 6th in the Fall season, failing to qualify for the finals. 2019 FC Edmonton Season
The 2019 FC Edmonton season was the eighth season in the club's history, as well as the first season in Canadian Premier League history. Overview After finishing in seventh place in the 2017 NASL season, FC Edmonton discontinued professional operations, but kept their academy. Co-owner Tom Fath stated that the franchise had proved to be unsustainable in the Edmonton market, and the decision was reinforced by the uncertainty surrounding the status of the NASL. Despite these events, there was speculation that the still under construction Canadian Premier League was looking at Edmonton as a potential market. The 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division (known as Hero 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division, for sponsorship reasons) was the 11th season of the I-League 2nd Division, the second division Indian football league, since its establishment in 2008. The season started with the preliminary rounds from 14 March to 15 May 2018. The final round of the league took place between 21 May to 30 May 2018 at FSV Arena, Bengaluru. 2016 United Football League
The 2016 United Football League was the seventh and last season of the UFL since its establishment as a semi-professional league in 2009. Division 2 is disbanded for this season with all teams competing in one division. The league competition which started on April 30 and ended on October 24 will followed a pure double round robin match with no play-offs. For this edition the foreign player cap is reduced to four from five foreign players in a playing squad of 18 players, including 7 substitutes. At least one of the four maximum allowable foreign players must be from the Asian country. This was to align to the guidelines followed at the AFC Cup and AFC Champions League. However, a club with more than 25 players may have more than four foreign players in their whole squad provided that they comply with the 4-player foreign player limit rule during match day.
