''Son of Sam'' is the fifth studio album by American rapper Krizz Kaliko. The album was released on August 27, 2013, by Strange Music. The album features guest appearances from Tech N9ne, Ces Cru, Kortney Leveringston, IcyRoc Kravyn and his wife Crystal Watson. Background In August 2013, in an interview with HipHopDX Krizz Kaliko explained where the album title ''Son of Sam'' came from, saying: "I always keep titles for songs and albums kind of in the chamber, and I always wanted to do an album called ''Son Of Sam'' because ''Son Of Sam'' is just me, that’s what it means. Krizz Kaliko
Samuel William Christopher Watson IV (born March 7, 1974), better known by his stage name Krizz Kaliko, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and voice actor. He is a longtime collaborator with fellow hometown native Tech N9ne and was signed to Strange Music from its inception in 1999 up to forming his own label Ear House Inc. in 2021. Career Krizz Kaliko began his musical career in the late 1990s when he began working with local producer IcyRoc Kraven. Another local rapper by the name of Tech N9ne was also collaborating with IcyRoc at the time, which led to the two rappers meeting. At the time, Tech N9ne was working on a song titled "Who You Came To See" and Kaliko made a comment that the song could have a better hook. Tech offered up the opportunity to prove his case, and Tech was blown away when Kaliko did. Ces Cru
Ces Cru (often stylized as CES Cru) is an American rap duo from Kansas City, Missouri, signed to independent record label Strange Music. The duo currently consists of members Donnie "Godemis" King and Mike "Ubiquitous" Viglione, but has had numerous members throughout the years. Ces Cru released their debut album ''Capture Enemy Soldiers'' in 2004. They went on to release ''Cesphiles, Vol. 1 Codename:irongiant'' (2008) and ''The Playground'' (2009). In 2010, the duo signed to Tech N9ne's record label Strange Music and have released the EP '' 13'' (2012) and ''Recession Proof'' (2015). Their first two studio albums on the label are ''Constant Energy Struggles'' (2013), and '' Codename: Ego Stripper'' (2014). The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. It is published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine and is frequently used to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. Aaron Dontez Yates (born November 8, 1971), better known by his stage name Tech N9ne (pronounced "tech nine"), is an American rapper. In 1999, he and business partner Travis O'Guin founded the record label Strange Music. He has sold over two million albums and has had his music featured in film, television, and video games. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards. His stage name originated from the TEC-9 semi-automatic handgun, a name given to him by rapper Black Walt due to his fast-rhyming chopper style. Yates later applied a deeper meaning to the name, stating that it stands for the complete technique of rhyme, with "tech" meaning technique and "nine" representing the number of completion.
