Somsak Sithchatchawal
Somsak Sithchatchawal ( th, สมศักดิ์ ศิษย์ชัชวาลย์; born July 17, 1977) is a Thai former professional boxer who competed from 1995 to 2010. He held the WBA super-bantamweight title in 2006. In March 2006, Sithchatchawal took part in what later won Ring Magazine fight of the year when he challenged WBA Super Bantamweight champion Mahyar Monshipour. Sithchatchawal dropped Monshipour in the first round, and won via TKO in the 10th round to capture the belt. Sithchatchawal lost his WBA world super-bantamweight belt to Celestino Caballero in Sithchatchawal's native country of Thailand on October 4, 2006. Caballero won by TKO by knocking Sithchatchawal down three times in the third round—causing the referee to cease the bout. His record is 46-2-1-1 (37 KOs). Super-bantamweight Boxers
Super bantamweight, also known as junior featherweight, is a weight class in professional boxing, contested from and up to . There were attempts by boxing promoters in the 1920s to establish this weight class, but few sanctioning organizations or state athletic commissions would recognize it. Jack Wolf won recognition as champion when he beat Joe Lynch at Madison Square Garden on September 21, 1922, but afterwards the weight division fell into disuse. The division was revived in the 1970s and the first title fight in 54 years in the division took place in 1976 when the World Boxing Council recognized Rigoberto Riasco as its champion when he defeated Waruinge Nakayama in eight rounds. Jermain Taylor (born August 11, 1978) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2014. He remains the most recent undisputed middleweight champion, having won the WBA (Undisputed), WBC, IBF, WBO, ''Ring'' magazine, and lineal titles in 2005 by beating Bernard Hopkins, and in doing so ending Hopkins' twelve-year reign as middleweight champion. This made Taylor the first, and to date, only male boxer in history to claim each title from all four major boxing sanctioning organizations in a single fight. Israel Vázquez Castañeda (born December 25, 1977) is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1995 to 2010. He is a three-time super bantamweight world champion, having held the IBF title from 2004 to 2005; and the WBC, ''The Ring'' titles twice from 2005 to 2008.
