Somnath Awghade is an Indian actor, known for his role in 2013 Marathi cinema, Marathi film ''Fandry'', for which he earned the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. He was also appeared in ''Free Hit Danka'' (2021), ''Jhund (film), Jhund'' (2022) and ''Ghar Banduk Biryani'' (2023). Early life Somnath Awghade is from Kem village, Karmala Taluka, Solapur district, Maharashtra belongs to a family of Halgi performers Career Awghade begun career with ''Fandry'' and became famous for his performance in the film. Manjule received the National Award in 2011 for his short film ''Pistulya''. During the felicitation ceremony in Kem village, he noticed Somnath playing the Parai, halgi. This encounter led to Somnath being selected as the lead actor in the film ''Fandry''. In 2021, his first release was ''Free Hit Danka'' co-starring Arbaj Shaikh, Arbaz Shaikh and Tanaji Galgunde. 61st National Film Awards
The 61st National Film Awards ceremony was an event during which the Directorate of Film Festivals of India presented its annual National Film Awards to honour the best films of 2013 in the Indian cinema. The ceremony was held on 3 May 2014. Selection process The Directorate of Film Festivals invited nominations for the awards on 24 January 2014. The acceptable last date for entries was until 14 February 2014.
