Luke Elliott Sommer (born June 26, 1986, in Peachland, British Columbia) is a former US Army Ranger and bank robber. After almost two years under house arrest in Canada, he pleaded guilty on May 27, 2008 to the August 7, 2006 robbery of a branch of the Bank of America in Tacoma, Washington. Sommer is currently serving his sentence at Coleman II USP. Alice Herz-Sommer, also known as Alice Herz (26 November 1903 – 23 February 2014), was a Prague-born Jews, Jewish classical pianist, music teacher, and supercentenarian who survived Theresienstadt concentration camp. She lived for 40 years in Israel, before migrating to London in 1986, where she resided until her death, and at the age of 110 was the world's oldest known Holocaust survivor until Yisrael Kristal was recognized as such. Bert Sommer (February 7, 1949 – July 23, 1990) was an American folk singer and songwriter. He appeared in the musical '' Hair'' and at the Woodstock Festival, and released several albums as a singer-songwriter. Giorgio Sommer
Giorgio Sommer (1834–1914) was one of Europe’s most important and prolific photographers of the 19th century. Active from 1857 to 1888, he produced thousands of images of archeological ruins, landscapes, art objects and portraits. He was born in Frankfurt am Main (modern-day Germany), where he studied business. Sommer opened his first photography studio in Switzerland, where he made relief images of mountains for the Swiss government. In 1856 moved his business to Naples and later (1866) formed a partnership with fellow German photographer Edmund Behles (also known as Edmondo Behles), who owned a studio in Rome. Gerhard Sommer (24 June 1921 – 2019) was a German SS-''Untersturmführer'' (second lieutenant) in the 16th SS Panzergrenadier Division ''Reichsführer-SS'' who was involved in the massacre of 560 civilians on 12 August 1944 in the Italian village of Sant'Anna di Stazzema. He appeared on the Simon Wiesenthal Center's list of most wanted Nazi war criminals. Biography Sommer was born in Hamburg in June 1921. Frederick Sommer (September 7, 1905 – January 23, 1999), was an artist born in Angri, Italy and raised in Brazil. He earned a M.A. degree in Landscape Architecture (1927) from Cornell University where he met Frances Elizabeth Watson (1904–1999) whom he married in 1928; they had no children. The Sommers moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1931 and then Prescott, Arizona in 1935. Sommer became a naturalized citizen of the United States on November 18, 1939. Daniel Sommer (1850–1940) was a key figure in the Restoration Movement and in the separation of the Churches of Christ from the Christian Church. The roots of the division that led the Churches of Christ to consider itself separate and distinct from the Christian Church were both secular and spiritual. The American Civil War divided the pro-slavery Southern churches from the anti-slavery northern churches in sentiment. After the war the wound was not healed and spiritual issues became the focus that made the division a reality. Hans Sommer (born 26 June 1914) is a German national who served in the ''Sicherheitsdienst'' during World War II. After the war, he found a working relationship with Gehlen Organisation Agent # 2857and was subsequently a spy for the '' Stasi'', East Germany's secret police. Biography Born in Nortorf, Sommer joined the Hitler Youth at sixteen, and joined the SS #119 157 (1 December 1932) and NSDAP #1442457 (1 February 1933), respectively.
