Solvathellam Unmai (film)
''Solvathellam Unmai'' () is 1987 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by Netaji, starring Vijayakanth and Rekha. It was released on 23 January 1987. Plot A newspaper editor Jagan mastheads an inaccurate, unverified story about the death of a doctor Sundaramoorthy. Unable to prevent the print order from reaching the stands, he murders the doctor the same night. This brings him in league with a murderer and impersonator whose designs had tricked him into publishing the story in the first place. It is now left to the son of the editor's victim Vijay to avenge his father's death. Narayanan Vijayaraj Alagarswami (born 25 August 1952), better known by his stage name Vijayakanth, is an Indian politician and former actor who has worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Before entering politics Vijayakanth was a successful actor, producer and director. Vijayakanth is also the current DMDK chairman of Tamil Nadu legislative assembly. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child.
