Soldier's Heart (song)
"Soldier's Heart" is a 2001 song by R. Kelly. The song, written and produced by Kelly himself, is a tribute to the soldiers in America. It appeared on some European releases of "The World's Greatest" as a B-side. The song was later released as a single in 2003 and appeared on Second official compilation album called My Diary released in 2005, renamed "Front Line". Kelly donated all the proceeds from this song to the families of the American Soldiers. The song peaked at number 80 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 singles chart. Music video Kelly recorded two videos for this song, a music video and an AOL Live performance. The music video shows R. Kelly playing the piano and also singing in front of the American flag with Hart Hollman & The Motown Romance Orchestra. Soldier's Heart (novel)
''Soldier's Heart: Being the Story of the Enlistment and Due Service of the Boy Charley Goddard in the First Minnesota Volunteers'' is a historical war novella by Gary Paulsen aimed at the teenage market. It is a fictionalization of the true story of a Minnesotan farm boy, Charley Goddard, who at the age of 15 enlisted in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Charley lied about his age to join the First Volunteers of Minnesota and was involved in combat at Bull Run and Gettysburg. He returned home traumatized and suffering from "soldier's heart" ( Da Costa's syndrome).''The Boys of War''

John Edward Ames (born December 30, 1949) is an American writer of novels and short stories from Toledo, Ohio. A critically acclaimed writer of western fiction, Ames began his career writing for pulp magazines before penning horror novels and stories. In 1995, Ames' historical novel ''The Unwritten Order'' was a finalist for a Western Writers of America Spur Award. Biography Raised in Monroe County, Michigan, and educated at Eastern Michigan University, Ames lived in Colorado and New Mexico before settling in 1986 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Before becoming a full-time writer, Ames taught English at Eastern Michigan University, the University of Northern Colorado and the University of New Mexico. Da Costa's Syndrome
Da Costa's syndrome (also known as "soldier's heart", cardiac neurosis, chronic asthenia, effort syndrome, functional cardiovascular disease, neurocirculatory asthenia, primary neurasthenia, subacute asthenia and irritable heart) is a psychiatric syndrome which presents a set of symptoms similar to those of heart disease. These include fatigue upon exertion, shortness of breath, palpitations, sweating, and chest pain. While a physical examination does not reveal any gross physiological abnormalities, orthostatic intolerance has been noted. It was originally thought to be a cardiac condition, and treated with a predecessor to modern cardiac drugs. While the condition was eventually recategorized as psychiatric, in modern times, it is known to represent several disorders, some of which now have a known medical basis. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome
Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a condition characterized by an abnormally large increase in heart rate upon standing. Symptoms may include lightheadedness, brain fog, blurred vision, weakness, fatigue, headaches, heart palpitations, exercise intolerance, nausea, diminished concentration, tremulousness (shaking), syncope (fainting), coldness or pain in the extremities, chest pain and shortness of breath. Other conditions associated with POTS include Ehlers–Danlos syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, chronic headaches, chronic fatigue syndrome, and fibromyalgia.
