Banx & Ranx are a music production duo from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, formed in 2014. Members Soké (real name Zacharie Raymond) and KNY Factory (real name Yannick Rastogi) are producers, songwriters and remixers. They are currently signed to Universal Music Canada as partners under their independently owned label 31 East. The duo is best known for their hit single, " Answerphone", which reached number five on the UK Singles Chart on 25 May 2018, as well as their 2022 hit "Flowers Need Rain" featuring Preston Pablo, which became a Top 10 hit in Canada. Briannah Donolo, known professionally as Rêve, is a Canadian singer and songwriter, signed with 31 East / Universal Music Canada. Her single "Ctrl + Alt + Del" was certified gold in Canada on February 15, 2022. Early life Donolo grew up in Montreal and has enjoyed music since a young age. When she was three years old, she tried matching the notes from a real piano on her Fisher-Price toy piano. Her father is Italian. She first gained attention for singing both the American and Canadian national anthems before a Boston Bruins-Montreal Canadiens hockey game on November 13, 2014. Afrobeats (not to be confused with Afrobeat or Afroswing), or Afro-pop or Afro-fusion (or Afropop or Afrofusion), is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing out of Ghana and Nigeria.
