Soko Islands
The Soko Islands () are a group of islands in Hong Kong. The group consists of Tai A Chau, Siu A Chau and several smaller nearby islands, in the southwesternmost waters of the territory, to the southwest of Lantau Island. An older name for this island group was "Sok Kwu Kwan To" (Fishing Net Islands). The islands are mainly composed of granite and a band of rhyodacite. Waters of the island group are brackish due to being in the Pearl River estuary. Stéphanie Alexandra Mina Sokolinski (born 26 October 1985), and known professionally as Soko (stylized as SoKo), is a French singer, songwriter, actress and dancer. She has been active since 2002. Soko released her debut single "I'll Kill Her" in 2007. It achieved airplay success in several European countries as well as Australia, being the No. 1 song on the Danish version of iTunes and peaking at No. 3 on the Denmark music charts. The Sokol movement (, ''falcon'') is an all-age gymnastics organization first founded in Prague in the Czech region of Austria-Hungary in 1862 by Miroslav Tyrš and Jindřich Fügner. It was based upon the principle of " a strong mind in a sound body". The Sokol, through lectures, discussions, and group outings provided what Tyrš viewed as physical, moral, and intellectual training for the nation. This training extended to men of all ages and classes, and eventually to women. The movement also spread across all the regions populated by Slavic cultures, most of them part of either Austria-Hungary or the Russian Empire: present-day Slovakia, the Slovene Lands, Croatia, Serbia ( SK Soko), Bulgaria, Poland (Sokół), Ukraine, Belarus.
