Soh Kwang-pom
Soh Kwang-pom or Seo Gwang-beom (8 November 1859 – 17 July 1897) (Hangul: 서광범, Hanja: 徐光範) was a Korean reformist and politician of Korea's late Joseon Dynasty. Soh Kwang-Pom, sometimes Pom Kwang Soh or known by his English name: Kennedy (or Kenneth) Suh, was born into the Daegu Seo clan. Seo married Lady of the Andong Kim Clan when he was a young boy, but Lady Kim had died at a young age to which led him to marry again and then a third time. He was close to his late wife's relative, Kim Ok-gyun, who brought enlightenment and thoughts to him when he was young. Seo later became close with Park Yeong-hyo, Park Chan-ju's grandfather (the wife of Prince Yi U). He was the Minister of Justice, a Korean minister to the United States, an envoy to the Queen's Jubilee and a one-time political refugee and exile. Queen Jeongseong
Queen Jeongseong (정성왕후 서씨; 12 January 1693 – 3 April 1757), of the Daegu Seo clan, was the first wife of King Yeongjo of Joseon and the adoptive mother of Crown Prince Sado. Biography The future queen was born on 12 January 1693 in Gahoebang (가회방, 嘉會坊). She was the second daughter and fourth child of Seo Jong-jae and Lady Yi of the Ubong Yi clan. In November 1703, at the age of ten, she married the eight-year-old Prince Yeoning. As the wife of a prince, she was given the title of Princess Consort Dalseong (달성군부인). On their first night of marriage, it was said that Prince Yeoning had asked how were the hands of the princess so pretty. The princess responded by saying that she never did any labor to get them dirty. This comment had unsettled the Prince because it reminded him of his mother, Royal Noble Consort Suk. Andong Gim Clan
{{unreferenced, date=December 2014 The Andong Kim clan (Hangul: 안동 김씨, Hanja: 安東 金氏) refers to two Korean clans. They were prominent yangban families during Korea's Joseon Dynasty originating from Andong, North Gyeongsang province, during the Goryeo Dynasty. The clans produced many individuals who passed the ''gwageo'', and 3 Queen Consorts during the Joseon Dynasty, Queen Sunwon, Queen Hyohyeon, and Queen Cheorin. Both clans derive from the Gyeongju Kim clan, and in 2015, the census counted a total of 519,719 members from both clans. Yi U
Colonel Prince Yi U (15 November 1912 – 7 August 1945) was a member of the imperial family of Korea as a prince, the 4th head of Unhyeon Palace, and a lieutenant colonel in the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. He was killed during the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Biography He was born the second son of Prince Kang, the fifth son of Emperor Gojong. At the age of five, he was adopted to be the heir of deceased Prince Yeongseon, the 3rd head of Unhyeon Palace and the only son of the elder brother of Emperor Gojong, Prince Hui. Park Chan-ju (박찬주, 朴贊珠) (11 December 1914 – 13 July 1995), was the spouse of Prince Yi U of Korea. She was a granddaughter of Marquis Park Yeong-hyo, who was a son-in-law of King Cheoljong of Joseon as a husband of Princess Yeonghye of Korea. They had two children, Yi Chung and Yi Jong.
