Sydney Opera House
The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney. Located on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour, it is widely regarded as one of the world's most famous and distinctive buildings and a masterpiece of 20th-century architecture. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, but completed by an Australian architectural team headed by Peter Hall, the building was formally opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 20 October 1973 after a gestation beginning with Utzon's 1957 selection as winner of an international design competition. South Horizons Station
South Horizons () is an underground MTR rapid transit station in Hong Kong, located on Ap Lei Chau in Southern District. It is the southern terminus of the . The station is located under the junction of Yi Nam Road and South Horizon Drive, and primarily serves residents of the South Horizons private housing estate (its namesake), in addition to Ap Lei Chau Estate and Ap Lei Chau West Industrial Area. The station has a unique shape in the form of a letter Y, and has no overrun track. It opened on 28 December 2016 with the rest of the South Island line. Hispaniolan Ornithological Society
The Hispaniolan Ornithological Society ( es, Sociedad Ornitológica de la Hispaniola), is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to nature conservation, particularly of birds and their habitats, on the island of Hispaniola ( Haiti and the Dominican Republic). SOH's mission is to "conserve Hispaniolan birds and their habitats through research, community education, and professional training". Southwest Senior High (SOH), in San Diego, California, United States, is a high school established in 1975. It was built on the site of a small railroad yard owned by the Southern Pacific Railroad along the original San Diego-Tijuana line. It existed until the mid-1930s when the tracks were moved east to the present-day Trolley tracks. The stable ocean hypothesis (SOH) is one of several hypotheses within larval fish ecology that attempt to explain recruitment variability (Figure 1;Houde, E. 2008. Emerging from Hjort’s shadow. The SOH is the notion that favorable and somewhat stable physical and biological ocean conditions, such as the flow of currents and food availability, are important to the survival of young fish larvae and their future recruitment. In the presence of stable ocean conditions, concentrations of prey form in stratified ocean layers; more specifically, stable ocean conditions refer to “calm periods in upwelling ecosystems (sometimes called 'Lasker events')” that cause the water column to become vertically stratified. The C0 and C1 control code or control character sets define control codes for use in text by computer systems that use ASCII and derivatives of ASCII. The codes represent additional information about the text, such as the position of a cursor, an instruction to start a new line, or a message that the text has been received.
