Society Of Blue Buckets
The Society of Blue Buckets (russian: Общество синих ведёрок ''Obshchestvo sinikh vedyorok'') is a free protest movement that emerged in Russia in 2010 as a response to the arbitrary, self-serving use of emergency rotating blue flashers by public servants. Inspired by blue toy buckets' strong resemblance to emergency blue rotating lights, members of the Society affix buckets to their vehicles’ roofs during automotive flashmobs, as a manifestation of their protest against misuse of emergency lights. Formation The Russian traffic code states that an emergency vehicle can have priority if it is furnished with flashing blue light, an accompanying siren, both of which must be on, and an appropriate graphic livery of the emergency service it belongs to. Rashid Gumarovich Nurgaliyev (russian: Рашид Гумарович Нургалиев tt-Cyrl, Рәшит Гомәр улы Нургалиев) (born 1956) is a Russian general and politician who served as Russia's interior minister from 2003 to 2012. Early life and education Nurgaliyev was born in Zhetikara, Kazakh SSR, on 8 October 1956 and is of Volga Tatar ethnicity. He graduated from Kuusinen State University in Petrozavodsk in 1979. 2011 Russian Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Russia on 4 December 2011. At stake were the 450 seats in the 6th State Duma, the lower house of the Federal Assembly (the legislature). United Russia won the elections with 49.32% of the vote, taking 238 seats or 52.88% of the Duma seats. This result was down from 64.30% of the vote and 70% of the seats in the 2007 elections. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation received 19.19% of the vote and 92 seats, while A Just Russia received 13.24% and 64 seats, with the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia getting 56 seats with 11.67% of the vote.
