Socialphobia
''Socialphobia'' () is a 2015 South Korean thriller/drama film starring Byun Yo-han, Lee Joo-seung, and Ryu Jun-yeol. It was co-written and directed by Hong Seok-jae in his directorial debut, based on a real-life story that explores the social issues within internet culture among the Korean youth of the 21st century. Plot A group of youngsters investigate a girl who died after being targeted in a witch-hunt on social networking sites, in an attempt to determine whether her death was suicide or murder. A member of the group at first becomes suspect but later the death was proven as a suicide. The film explores internet addiction, cyber bullying, social phobia and lack of morale - self-esteem among youngsters. Hong Seok-jae (born 1983) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. Hong wrote and directed his thriller feature debut ''Socialphobia'' (2015), which won the NETPAC Award and DGK Award for Best Director at the 19th Busan International Film Festival in 2014, and the Best New Director and Best New Actor (for Byun Yo-han) at the 24th Buil Film Awards in 2015. Byun Yo-han
Byun Yo-han (born April 29, 1986) is a South Korean actor. He is best known for his roles in the television dramas '' Misaeng: Incomplete Life'' (2014), ''Six Flying Dragons'' (2015–2016), and '' Mr. Sunshine'' (2018). He has also appeared in several independent films including ''Socialphobia'' (2015) and ''The Book of Fish'' (2021). Career He made his acting debut in 2011, and appeared in over 30 short films as a student of Korea National University of Arts. The then-unknown actor rose to fame in 2014 with a supporting role in the popular workplace cable series '' Misaeng: Incomplete Life''. In 2015, he starred in leading roles in indie hit ''Socialphobia'' and the romantic comedy ''Ex-Girlfriends' Club''.
