The Sochi constituency (No.50) is a Constituencies of Russia, Russian legislative constituency in Krasnodar Krai. In 1993-2003 Krasnodar Krai had 7 constituencies but population growth along the Black Sea coast resulted in Krai getting 8th district, based around Sochi, which was previously a part of Tuapse constituency. Konstantin Zatulin
Konstantin Fyodorovich Zatulin (russian: Константин Фёдорович Затулин, born on 7 September 1958, in Batumi, Adjarian ASSR, Georgian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Russian politician, first deputy chairman of the committee of the State Duma for the CIS and relations with Russian nationals abroad. He represents the Sochi constituency. Biography Zatulin graduated from the History Department of Moscow State University in 1981, specializing in the history of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. In 1987-1990 he worked in the Central Committee of the Komsomol. In the 1993 election Zatulin was elected deputy in the State Duma, where he assumed the position of the chairman of the Committee for the Commonwealth of Independent States and relations with Russian nationals abroad. 2011 Russian Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Russia on 4 December 2011. At stake were the 450 seats in the 6th State Duma, the lower house of the Federal Assembly (the legislature). United Russia won the elections with 49.32% of the vote, taking 238 seats or 52.88% of the Duma seats. This result was down from 64.30% of the vote and 70% of the seats in the 2007 elections. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation received 19.19% of the vote and 92 seats, while A Just Russia received 13.24% and 64 seats, with the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia getting 56 seats with 11.67% of the vote. Yabloko, Patriots of Russia and Right Cause did not cross the 7% election threshold. The list of parties represented in the parliament did not change. The Party of Russia's Rebirth (russian: Партия возрождения России ''Partiya Vozrozhdeniya Rossii'') is a political party in Russia founded by Gennady Seleznev, former State Duma speaker and a former member of the Communist Party of Russia (2002-2007). The party took the name of the illegal Russian fascist party, which existed in the USSR, and abroad among the Russian expatriates, in the 1930s. Igor Ashurbeyli is the current leader of the party.
