I Mother Earth, or IME, is a Canadians, Canadian rock band. The band formed in 1990 and reached its peak in popularity in the mid-to-late 1990s. After an eight-year hiatus, the band reunited in 2012. ''Dig'' is the debut album by the Canadian rock band I Mother Earth, released by Capitol and EMI on August 10, 1993. The album was certified Gold in Canada in its initial run, and stands at platinum today. It also won a Juno Award in 1994 for ''Best Hard Rock Album''. The album was noted for its metallic sound, balanced with psychedelic-style lyrics and instrumentals, and further backed by Latin percussion. Mike Clink is an American record producer. He began his career as an engineer at Record Plant Studios, recording such bands as Whitesnake, Triumph, Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Megadeth, UFO (including ''Strangers in the Night''), Jefferson Starship, The Babys, Heart, Eddie Money, and many others. Career Clink began producing in 1986. Canadian content (abbreviated CanCon, cancon or can-con; ) refers to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) requirements, derived from the Broadcasting Act of Canada, that radio and television broadcasters (including cable and satellite specialty channels) must produce and/or broadcast a certain percentage of content that was at least partly written, produced, presented, or otherwise contributed to by persons from Canada. CanCon also refers to that content itself, and, more generally, to cultural and creative content that is Canadian in nature. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000.
