Snypaz
Snypaz are a Chicago hip hop group formed in 1993. Their first release was the 1995 cassette tape ''Ridin' High''; their 1996 EP, ''My Life as a Snypa'', sold 80,000 copies. Relocating to Houston, Texas, the group recorded tracks with Do or Die for their album ''Headz or Tailz'', and soon after appeared on Scarface's 1998 album, ''My Homies''. In 2001, Snypaz signed with Virgin Records Virgin Records is a record label owned by Universal Music Group. It originally founded as a British independent record label in 1972 by entrepreneurs Richard Branson, Simon Draper, Nik Powell, and musician Tom Newman. ''Livin' in the Scope'' is the second studio album by American Chicago-based hip hop group Snypaz. It was released on May 22, 2001 via Rap-A-Lot Records. Hip hop production, Production was handled by L.A., Channel 7 (musician), Channel 7, Hurt-M-Badd, Mike Dean (record producer), Mike Dean, Mr. Lee (record producer), Mr. Lee, Domo and The Legendary Traxster, with J. Rap-A-Lot Records
Rap-A-Lot is a hip hop record label co-founded by James Prince and Cliff Blodget in 1986. Smoke-a-Lot Records is a subsidiary. Rap-A-Lot was first distributed by A&M Records with the release of Raheem's 1988 debut ''The Vigilante''. The label was distributed through the 1990s by EMI's Priority Records (1991–1994), Noo Trybe Records (1994-1998), and Virgin Records (1998–2002). In the 2000s, it was distributed by Asylum Records and then Fontana Distribution. On August 22, 2013, Rap-A-Lot announced a distribution deal with RED Distribution. History The label was formed filling in a gap for recognition and promotion of southern talent especially in the Houston area. Do or Die is an American Rap music, rap trio originally from the West Garfield Park, Chicago, East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, Chicago, West Side of Chicago, consisting of N.A.R.D., Belo Zero, and AK-47. The group experienced mainstream success with the platinum single "Po Pimp", which peaked at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100.
