''Snowdrift'' is a 1923 American action film directed by Scott R. Dunlap and written by John Stone. It is based on the 1922 novel ''Snowdrift'' by James Hendryx. The film stars Buck Jones, Bert Sprotte, Gertrude Ryan, Colin Chase, Evelyn Selbie and Annette Jean. The film was released on April 22, 1923, by Fox Film Corporation. Lalo Encinas
Ladislao "Lalo" Encinas (June 27, 1886 – May 5, 1959) was an American character actor active in Hollywood from the 1910s through the 1950s. He was noted as one of few Apache actors working in the motion picture industry by contemporaneous reporters, though according to census records, it appears he was of mestizo or indigenous Mexican ancestry. Biography Encinas was born in Pima, Arizona Pima is a town in Graham County, Arizona, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of the town was 2,387, up from 1,989 in 2000. The estimated population in 2018 was 2,512. Pima is part of the Safford Micropolitan Statistical Area .... His parents were Jesus Encinas and Jacinta Bustamant, both from Mexico. John Stone (September 12, 1888 – June 3, 1961) was an American film producer and screenwriter. He was born in New York City and died in Los Angeles, California. He produced more than 70 films between 1930 and 1946. He also wrote for more than 60 films between 1921 and 1948, often during the early 1920s using the pen name Jack Sturmwasser.
