Snoopy is an anthropomorphic beagle in the comic strip ''Peanuts'' by Charles M. Schulz. He can also be found in all of the ''Peanuts'' films and television specials. Since his debut on October 4, 1950, Snoopy has become one of the most recognizable and iconic characters in the comic strip and is considered more famous than Charlie Brown in some countries. The original drawings of Snoopy were inspired by Spike, one of Schulz's childhood dogs. Bill Melendez
José Cuauhtémoc "Bill" Melendez (November 15, 1916 – September 2, 2008) was an American character animator, voice actor, film director and producer. Melendez is known for working on the Peanuts animated specials, ''Peanuts'' animated specials. Before ''Peanuts'', he previously worked as an animator for Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Productions, Warner Bros. Cartoons, and United Productions of America, UPA. Melendez provided the voices of Snoopy and Woodstock (Peanuts), Woodstock in the latter as well. In a career spanning over 60 years, he won six Primetime Emmy Awards and was nominated for thirteen more. In addition, he was nominated for an Academy Awards, Oscar and five Grammy Awards. ''You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown'' is a 1967 musical with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and (in a 1999 revision) Andrew Lippa. It is based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. ''The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure'' is a side-scrolling platform video game based on ''The Peanuts Movie''. The game launched on November 3, 2015 in North America, and November 6, 2015 in Europe and Australia for the Xbox 360 and most eighth-generation platforms, becoming the first ''Peanuts'' video game released on a Nintendo platform internationally since ''Snoopy Tennis'' in 2001. Terry McGurrin (born November 5, 1968) is a Canadian voice actor, comedian, and writer from Ottawa, Ontario. He was the story editor for the 2011 YTV show ''Scaredy Squirrel''. Cam Clarke is an American voice actor, known for his work in animation, video games and commercials. She was first mentioned in May 1959 and throughout a long series of strips before her first appearance in August 1959. William Hinnant (born John F. Hinnant; August 28, 1935 – February 17, 1978) was an American actor. His younger brother is actor and comedian Skip Hinnant. Biography Hinnant was born John F. Hinnant in Chincoteague Island, Virginia. He attended the Yale School of Drama, but left after his sophomore year in 1958 to originate the role of the navigator in the Broadway play, ''No Time for Sergeants''.
