Sniper Special Ops
''Sniper Special Ops'' is a 2016 American war action drama film written and directed by Fred Olen Ray and starring Steven Seagal, who also serves as executive producer for the film. It is unrelated to the long-running ''Sniper'' film series. Plot Sergeant Jake Chandler (Steven Seagal), an expert sniper, joins Sergeant Vic Mosby (Tim Abell) with the Delta Force during an overwatch mission to extract an American Congressman who is being held by the Taliban in a remote Afghan village. At first, the rescue mission is successful until a firefight breaks out. Evac is called in but Chandler and his spotter Pvt. Rich are separated from the squad. During the extraction, several members of the squad are killed or wounded, forcing them to leave without Chandler and Rich. Fred Olen Ray (born September 10, 1954) is an American film producer, director, and screenwriter of more than 200 low-to-medium-budget feature films in many genres, including Horror film, horror, science fiction, action film, action/adventure film, adventure, erotic thrillers, crime dramas, and holiday films. Ray is the head of Retromedia, which releases DVDs of both his own productions and archival films. He has also worked for other well-known independent studios and on a few occasions for major Hollywood studios. He has been cited as an inspiration for many independent filmmakers. He loaned a 16 mm camera to Quentin Tarantino so he could make ''My Best Friend's Birthday''. Aside from his work in the film industry, Ray was also a professional wrestler. Jason-Shane Scott (born December 29, 1976) is an American actor. Life and career Scott was born in Southern California. At the age of two he moved to Reno, Nevada with his mother and older sister while making frequent trips to Los Angeles to visit his father.
