''Smokey's Haunt'' is the fourth studio album by Australian hip hop artist and member of The Herd, Urthboy. It was released on 12 October 2012. Overview Levinson's fourth album under the Urthboy moniker, released on the Elefant Traks label, was made available to the public on 12 October 2012. Produced by fellow Australian hip hop colleagues Count Bounce (TZU) and Hermitude, the album was selected as a "Feature Album" on national Australian radio station Triple J. Jimblah, Solo and Alex Burnett (of Sparkadia Sparkadia is an Australian band, formed in Sydney in 2004. They were originally known as The Spark. Urthboy
Tim Levinson, better known by the stage name Urthboy, is an Australian hip hop MC and producer from New South Wales. He is widely known for his solo music under the moniker Urthboy, as a founding member of the hip-hop group The Herd, and for co-founding and managing the Elefant Traks record label. Elefant Traks
Elefant Traks is a record label based in Sydney, Australia, that predominantly releases Australian hip hop music. The label is distributed in Australia by Inertia Distribution. History 1998–2008: Formation, The Herd, Urthboy, Horrorshow Elefant Traks was started in 1998 by Kenny Sabir ( Traksewt); Under Sabir's management, the label's first official compilation album, ''Cursive Writing'', was released, and Sabir briefly explained the process in 2011: "For the first compilation, some of the people on there I had never actually even met at the time of release. Hermitude
Hermitude is an Australian electronic- hip hop duo, originating from the Blue Mountains, New South Wales. Biography Early years and ''Explanetary'' Multi-instrumentalists, Luke Dubber (a.k.a. Luke Dubs) and Angus Stuart (a.k.a. El Gusto), have collaborated in bands since 1994, when they were aged 16 and 11, respectively. Their first functional band was called "Funk Injections" and included Stuart's sister, Aja Stuart, on bass. When a group of local rappers, including Tim Levinson (a.k.a. Urthboy) from the Herd, were impressed by Funk Injections' abilities, the two groups briefly incorporated in 1998, performing for a while under the name "Explanetary". Spitshine
''Spitshine'' is the third studio album by Australian hip hop artist and member of The Herd, Urthboy. It was released on 28 August 2009. Overview The album was shortlisted for the 2009 Australian Music Prize, the second time Urthboy has been nominated, with ''The Signal'' being nominated in 2007. The first song lifted from the album was "Hellsong", was released as a free download from Urthboy's official website, in May 2009. The video for the song is composed of more than 7,000 hand-drawn images and animated in Sydney, Christchurch, London, Hungary and Oslo. It was directed by Brendan Doyle and produced by Navid Bahadori, for Broken Yellow. The Herd (Australian Band)
The Herd is an Australian hip hop group formed in Sydney. The group employs a "full band" format and is recognised for its live shows. The Herd is composed of Ozi Batla, Urthboy, Berzerkatron (MCs), Unkle Ho (beats), Traksewt (piano accordion, clarinet and beats), Sulo (beats and guitar), Toe-Fu (guitar), Rok Poshtya (bass) and singer Jane Tyrrell. Sparkadia
Sparkadia is an Australian band, formed in Sydney in 2004. They were originally known as The Spark. Daniel Paul Merriweather (born 17 February 1982) is an Australian R&B recording artist. Merriweather's debut solo album, '' Love & War'', was released in June 2009.
