Smilla Tarning Sønderby
Smilla Tarning Sønderby (born 22 July 2000) is a Danish professional golfer. She plays on the Ladies European Tour and won the 2023 KPMG Women's Irish Open. In 2021, she won the NCAA Championship with Ole Miss. Amateur career Sønderby, from Kolding Golf Club, joined the National Team in 2017 and represented Denmark at the 2018 European Girls' Team Championship, the 2019 European Nations Cup, and twice in the European Ladies' Team Championship, winning the bronze in 2020 together with Cecilie Finne-Ipsen, Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen and Amalie Leth-Nissen after beating Switzerland 2– in the bronze match. She lost the final of the 2019 Danish National Match Play Championship to Cecilie Finne-Ipsen, and in 2021 she finished runner-up at the Danish National Stroke Play Championship, one stroke behind Nicole Bonde Lorup. The 2021 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 6–10 July at Royal County Down Golf Club, in Newcastle, County Down, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom It was the 38th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting course, one of the oldest on the island of Ireland, originally designed by Old Tom Morris and located in naturally links settings in the Murlough Nature Reserve, stretching along the shores of Dundrum Bay, was established in 1889. 2020 European Ladies' Team Championship
The 2020 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 9–12 July at Upsala Golf Club, in Uppsala, Sweden. It was the 37th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting Upsala Golf Club was founded in 1937, the 22nd oldest golf club in Sweden. The course, located in Håmö, 9 kilometres west of the city center of Uppsala, the fourth-largest city in Sweden, was inaugurated in 1965, initially designed by Gregor Paulsson and renovated in 2007–2008 by Canadian golf course architect Robert Kains. The championship course was set up with par 72 over 6,100 yards. Format The 2020 Championship was played in a different season and in a modified format than usual. Anne van Dam (born 2 October 1995) is a Dutch professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour, where she has five wins. She played in the 2019 Solheim Cup and the 2020 Summer Olympics. Career Van Dam turned professional in 2015. She began playing on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LET Access Series (LETAS), where she won the HLR Golf Academy Open in Finland. Lisa Pettersson (born 31 July 1995) is a Swedish professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She won the 2023 Helsingborg Open. In 2022, she was runner-up at Skaftö Open and Åland 100 Ladies Open. Early life and amateur career Pettersson was born in Täby, Stockholm County, in 1995. She grew up practising a lot of different sports and it was not until the age of 15 that she started to focus solely on golf. Buckinghamshire Golf Club, containing the Denham Court Mansion, is a golf club near Denham, Buckinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. It is accessed via Denham Country Drive off the M40 motorway near the junction with the M25 motorway.
