1100 Peachtree
1100 Peachtree Street is one of the prominent buildings of Midtown Atlanta, Georgia. Ownership and usage The 28-story, building is currently owned by Manulife Financial. It was previously partly owned and largely occupied by telecommunications company AT&T Corporation providing offices for its top executives. Besides AT&T, the other major occupant is law firm Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP. In November 2006, law firm Schreeder, Wheeler and Flint, LLP became the building's tenants. Design The octagonal building has a ziggurat-like, stair-stepped top with lighting which accentuates the building at night. Completed in 1991, the building is 428 ft (130 m) tall. ''Interior Design'' is an American interior design magazine, which has been in circulation since 1932. History and profile ''Interior Design'' was founded by Harry V. Anderson in Manhattan in 1932. He was also the publisher and editor of the magazine, which temporarily ceased publication during World War II. Following the war Anderson and John Hay Whitney of Whitney Communications Company relaunched the magazine. In 1959 the company became the sole owner of ''Interior Design''. Harry V. Anderson served as the editor and publisher until 1969. The other editors have included Donald D. Macmillan; Sherman R. Emery, from 1960 to 1983; and Stanley Abercrombie. Signature Tower was a proposed skyscraper in Jakarta, Indonesia. The proposed height is . The tower was proposed in 2010, with developers hoping to begin construction in 2015. Planning permission for the tower was granted in late 2015. Construction was scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2016, assuming a loan of approximately $1.5 billion could be secured. China State Construction Engineering has been appointed to construct the tower. The planned skyscraper is a part of a redevelopment project of (Sudirman Central Business District) SCBD, near the Semanggi Interchange and located south of Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
