"Slow Burn" is a song by English musician David Bowie. It was released as the lead single from his 22nd studio album, '' Heathen'', on 3 June 2002. The song was not released as a single in the UK. There was no British single from ''Heathen'' released until September, with " Everyone Says 'Hi'". The recording features Pete Townshend on guitar. The song earned Bowie a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Male Vocal Performance. Sony Music Studios was an American music recording and mastering facility in New York City. The Canadian Singles Chart was a chart compiled by the American-based music sales tracking company, Nielsen SoundScan, which began publication in November 1996. It was published every Wednesday and also published on Thursday by '' Jam!''/Canoe. It was superseded by the '' Billboard''-published Canadian Hot 100 in 2007. Matthew Chamberlain (born April 17, 1967) is an American session musician, drummer, producer and songwriter. Biography Life and career Chamberlain was born in San Pedro, California on April 17, 1967. He began learning how to play the drums at 15 years old, taking lessons with David Garibaldi from the band Tower of Power. He attended North Texas State's music program, leaving after less than a year. After leaving college, he moved to Dallas, Texas and played with multiple bands, often taking on small gigs.
