Slovenian Second Division
The Slovenian Second Football League ( sl, Druga slovenska nogometna liga or commonly 2. SNL) is the second highest football league in Slovenia. The league was formed in 1991 and is operated by the Football Association of Slovenia. Format and rules In its inaugural season ( 1991–92), the Slovenian Second League was divided into two regional groups (East and West), with both winners directly promoted to the Slovenian PrvaLiga. In 1992, a unified league was formed with 16 clubs playing the round-robin system, which lasted until 2003. Two clubs were usually promoted, while the number of those relegated varied with the number of divisions in the Slovenian Third League. In 2003, the league was reduced to twelve teams and only the champion was directly promoted to PrvaLiga, as additional promotion play-offs were introduced for the second place. The Football Association of Slovenia ( sl, Nogometna zveza Slovenije or NZS) is the governing body of football in Slovenia. It organizes the Slovenian PrvaLiga, first division (1. SNL), Slovenian Second League, second division (2. SNL), Slovenian Third League, third division (East and West), Slovenian Football Cup, Slovenian Cup, Slovenian Women's League, and other competitions. NK Dob
Nogometni klub Dob ( en, Dob Football Club), currently named Roltek Dob due to sponsorship reasons, is a Slovenian football club based in the town of Dob near Domžale. They competes in the Slovenian Second League. The club was founded in 1961. Stadium Dob plays at the Dob Sports Park ( sl, Športni park Dob), which is located in Dob. The stadium has a seating capacity for 300 spectators. Dob Sports Park includes the main stadium and a training field with natural grass. There is also one smaller field for younger selections, covered with artificial turf. In 2014, the stadium was partially renovated, as it received another training field and the fence around the main field was replaced. ND Ilirija Ljubljana
Nogometno društvo Ilirija 1911 is a Slovenian football club from Ljubljana which competes in the Slovenian Second League. The club was founded in June 1911 and is the oldest still active football club in the country. History SK Ilirija (1911–1941) At the beginning of the 20th century, football came to Ljubljana from Vienna and was played mostly by the students. Football club Ilirija was founded on 9 June 1911 in a pub called Roža on Židovska cesta in Ljubljana. Albin Kandare was elected as the first president of Ilirija, and their first ground was at Tivoli Park. Ilirija's first match was played on 30 July 1911, and ended in an 18–0 defeat against Hermes, the local students' club which had been founded in 1910. Soon after their first match Ilirija merged with Hermes in 1913. Nogometno društvo Primorje or simply ND Primorje is a Slovenian football club which plays in the town of Ajdovščina. The club was established in 2011. They competes in the Slovenian Second League, the second level of Slovenian football. History The club was founded in June 2011 as ''Nogometno društvo Ajdovščina'' after the dissolution of NK Primorje, a club which folded a couple of months earlier due to high financial debt, and after failing to obtain competition licences issued by the Football Association of Slovenia.
