Slovenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "" written and performed by Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl. Slovenian broadcaster (RTV Slovenija) organised the national final ''EMA 2019'' in order to select the Slovenian entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. zalagasper (formerly Zala Kralj & Gašper Šantl) is a Slovenian musical duo from Maribor consisting of vocalist Zala Kralj and multi-instrumentalist Gašper Šantl. Erik Robert Jimmy Jansson (born September 17, 1985) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. At Melodifestivalen 2020 he set a new record for the amount of competing entries by a composer at one contest with six entries. Music career Jansson's music career began when he formed a rock band, The Poets, with some of his friends in 2001. Maraaya are a Slovenian duo founded by Marjetka Vovk and Aleš Vovk (Raay) in 2014. The group's name is a combination of its members' names, while its pronunciation means "She has Raay" in Slovene.
