Slovan Orbis Praha BK was a basketball club part of the Czech Slovan Orbis Praha multi-sports club. The men's team won two national championships in 1957 and 1959 and reached the semifinals of the 1960 European Cup, while the women's team won nine national championships between 1954 and 1965 and reached the final of the European Cup in 1961, 1963 and 1966. 1959–60 FIBA European Champions Cup
The 1959–60 FIBA European Champions Cup was third season of the European top-tier level professional basketball club competition FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague). It was won by Rīgas ASK for the third straight time, an accomplishment only achieved again by Jugoplastika in the late 1980s, in 1989–1991. In the EuroLeague Finals, Riga defeated the Soviet Union League club, Dinamo Tbilisi, in both final games (51–61 & 62–69). Riga defeated Slovan Orbis Prague in the semifinals, and AŠK Olimpija in the quarterfinals. Competition system 21 teams. Czechoslovak Women's Basketball Championship
The Czechoslovak Women's Basketball Championship was the premier women's basketball league in former Czechoslovakia. Founded in 1933, it was disestablished sixty years later following the country's dissolution and replaced by the Czech League and the Slovak Extraliga replacing it. Sparta Praha was the most successful team in the championship with 23 titles between 1948 and 1987, followed by Slovan Orbis and Slavia VŠ Praha with nine. While the championship was mostly dominated by Czech teams its four last editions were won by Slovakia's ŠKP Banská Bystrica and Ružomberok. TTT Riga
TTT Rīga is a professional women's basketball club based in Riga, Latvia. "TTT" means Tram and Trolley Trust. The team held its first official game on 5 November 1958. The next 25 years are known as the ''First Golden age'' of the club. Internationally, the club was also known as Daugava Riga, due to the fact that Daugava was the predecessor of TTT Riga in the 1950s. WBC Slavia Sofia
WBC Slavia Sofia is a Bulgarian women's basketball section of the Slavia Sofia sport society. Men's basketball team of Slavia Sofia is not active. Slavia Sofia was an early powerhouse of Bulgarian women's basketball, winning 12 national championships between 1953 and 1965. In 1959 it won the inaugural edition of the European Cup beating Dynamo Moscow, and in 1965 it won its second title, becoming the only team to knock out Daugava Riga in the competition between 1960 and 1975. It also reached the finals in 1960 and 1965. However, since 1965 the team has not won any additional championships. Its major international success in subsequent years was reaching the Ronchetti Cup's semifinals in 1980.
