The Slovakia national women's field hockey team represents Slovakia in international field hockey tournaments for women. Before 2019 they were not ranked at the FIH World Rankings, because they had been inactive for several years. They generally compete in the lowest tier of the European championships, the Women's EuroHockey Championship III and have never qualified for a world cup nor the Olympics. Olten
Olten (High Alemannic: ''Oute'') is a town in the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland and capital of the district of the same name. Olten's railway station is within 30 minutes of Zürich, Basel, Bern, and Lucerne by train, and is a rail hub of Switzerland. History Significant amounts of artefacts of the Magdalenian (c. 16'000 to 14'000 years ago) have been excavated near Olten. There are also finds dated to the Mesolithic and Neolithic, but there is no trace of a settlement, and no ceramic finds; finds dating to the Bronze and Iron Ages are also rather limited. There was a vicus at the site during the Roman era. The name of the settlement is not known, but it seems to have been of a certain importance, presumably reflecting the presence of a bridge across the Aar River. The 2021 Women's EuroHockey Championship III was the ninth edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship III, the third level of the women's European field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 1 to 7 August 2021 at HC Lipovci in Lipovci, Slovenia. Ukraine won their first EuroHockey Championship III title by defeating Switzerland 2–1. Lipovci (; hu, Hársliget) is a village in the Municipality of Beltinci in the Prekmurje region of northeastern Slovenia. There is a small Neo-Gothic chapel in the settlement. The 2019 Women's EuroHockey Championship III was the eight edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship III, the third tier of the women's European field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 28 July until 3 August 2019 in Lipovci, Slovenia.
