Slobodan Kaličanin
Slobodan Kaličanin ( sr-cyr, Слободан Каличанин; born 27 April 1969) is a Serbian former professional basketball player. Playing career Kaličanin started his basketball career playing with the youth teams of Crvena zvezda. On start of the 1988–89 season he was promoted to the first team. With the Zvezda he won two YUBA League titles (1993 and 1994). Also, he played for Rogaška Donat MG and Elektra Šoštanj ( Premier A Slovenian League), the IDE Trading Rotterdam ( Dutch League), Genève-Versiox (Swiss League), SSV Ulm 1846 (Basketball Bundesliga) and Nová Huť Ostrava ( National League of the Czech Republic). National team career Kaličanin was a member of the Yugoslavia national junior team that won the gold medal at the 1988 European Championship for Juniors in Titov Vrbas, Yugoslavia. Yugoslav Basketball Super Cup
The YUBA League was the top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia and Montenegro (previously FR Yugoslavia). Founded in 1992 and folded in 2006, it was run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia and Montenegro. The name ''YUBA League'' (Yugoslav Basketball Association League) was used in Serbia and Montenegro until 2005. It consisted of the first-stage "First League", and the second-stage "Super League", with each having their own men's and women's divisions. Titov Vrbas
Vrbas ( sr-Cyrl, Врбас; hu, Verbász) is a town and municipality located in the South Bačka District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. As of 2011, the town had a population of 24,112, while the municipality had 42,092 inhabitants. Name Its name stems from the word "Willow" in the Serbian language. During the SFRY period, the town was renamed ''Titov Vrbas'' (meaning "the Vrbas of Tito"), after Josip Broz Tito. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Since 2021, the league has been replaced by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. The league had a closed system: to participate, a team has to have enough money and potential.
