Christen Kelley (November 7, 1978 – October 2, 2017), better known by his stage name Slip Capone, was an American rapper and member of DPGC from Hawthorne, California, California. Early life Slip Capone was born on November 7, 1978. He grew up on 118th street in Hawthorne California. He is half British and half African American and is commonly referred to as “The Mayor of Hawthorne". Christen Kelley was signed to Death Row Records in the mid 90's when he was 14 years old. He then went on to appear on Kurupt’s solo debut album ''Kuruption!'' on a song called "Survive Another Day" by Kurupt featuring Gonzo and himself. Early career During his teenage years, Slip Capone met rapper Snoop Dogg through Kurupt of the Dogg Pound. Hawthorne is a city in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, located in southwestern Los Angeles County, California. It is part of a seventeen-city region commonly called the South Bay. Quincy Matthew Hanley (born October 26, 1986), better known by his stage name Schoolboy Q (stylized as ScHoolboy Q), is an American rapper. In 2009, Hanley signed to Carson-based independent record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) and in late 2011, secured a recording contract with major label Interscope Records. Todd Anthony Shaw (born April 28, 1966), better known by the stage name Too Short (stylized as Too $hort), is an American rapper and record producer. He became famous in the West Coast hip hop scene in the late 1980s, with lyrics often based on pimping and promiscuity, but also drug culture and street survival. C-Walk
The Crip Walk, also known as the C-Walk, is a dance move that was created in the 1970s by first generation Crip member Robert "Sugar Bear" Jackson, and has since spread worldwide. Overview The dance is primarily an act of performing quick and intricate footwork. The rivalry between the Crips and the Bloods spilled over into the world of entertainment, with the adoption of the gang dance by various rappers on the West Coast of the United States, who gave it its name, the ''Crip Walk''. This dance involves the movement of one's feet, classically to the spelling of C-R-I-P (refer C Walk). ''Murder Was the Case'' is a 1994 short film and soundtrack album starring and performed by Snoop Doggy Dogg. The 18 minute film was directed by Dr. Dre and Fab Five Freddy and chronicles the fictional death of Snoop Dogg and his resurrection after making a deal with the Devil. The film's title comes from Snoop's song of the same name from his debut album, ''Doggystyle'', which had been released a year earlier. The single "What Would You Do" by Tha Dogg Pound was included on the ''Natural Born Killers'' soundtrack and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in the 38th Annual Grammy Awards in 1996.
