Sleepwalking, also known as somnambulism or noctambulism, is a phenomenon of combined sleep and wakefulness. It is classified as a sleep disorder belonging to the parasomnia family. It occurs during slow wave stage of sleep, in a state of low consciousness, with performance of activities that are usually performed during a state of full consciousness. These activities can be as benign as talking, sitting up in bed, walking to a bathroom, consuming food, and cleaning, or as hazardous as cooking, driving a motor vehicle, violent gestures and grabbing at hallucinated objects.Swanson, Jenifer, ed. ''Wishmaster'' is the third studio album by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. It was released on 8 May 2000 through Spinefarm Records in Finland. The album was released in the rest of Europe by Drakkar Entertainment on 29 May, and in Japan by Toy's Factory on 19 July. In the US, it was released by Century Media on 6 February 2001. "Sleepwalker", written by Ray Davies, is the third track (and first single) from The Kinks' 1977 album of the same name. Background and recording "Sleepwalker" was reportedly written about Ray Davies's move from London to New York City at the time. The insomniac Davies was then adapting to the 24-hour schedule of the busy city. Recording for "Sleepwalker" began sometime between 22 and 30 September 1976, cut during the same week as "Sleepless Night" and " Life Goes On" (all three of which would later appear on the final ''Sleepwalker'' album). Both "Sleepwalker" and "Sleepless Night" had been recorded in lengthy, seven-minute versions, eventually resulting in the tracks being cut down for their final releases. Backing vocals for the song were added by Ray Davies, Dave Davies, and John Gosling on 11 October of that year. ''Sleepwalker'' is the debut extended play by musical duo Kylie and Garibay, composed of Australian singer-songwriter Kylie Minogue and American record producer Fernando Garibay. Musically, it is influenced by electronica and, in a departure for Minogue reggae and dancehall. Its lyrical content begins a story arc, from loss to recovery, concluded by the second Kylie + Garibay EP. ''Sleepwalker'' is the sixteenth studio album by the English rock group, the Kinks, released in 1977. It marked a return to straight-ahead, self-contained rock songs after several years of concept albums. It is the first album in what critics usually call the "arena rock" phase of the group, in which more commercial and mainstream production techniques would be employed. The album also marks the last appearance of bassist John Dalton, who left the band during the recording sessions. Dalton plays bass on all songs on the album save for "Mr. Big Man".
