Sledgeback
Sledgeback is a Seattle, Washington-based punk rock band, formed in early 2004, with Hungarian-born American guitarist Gábor Szakácsi (Gabi Hun) as the frontman. Former member of the long-standing influential Hungarian punk rock outfit C.A.F.B., Gabi Hun moved to Seattle not knowing a word of English, and soon after formed Sledgeback. History Beginning 2004–2007 Gaining a large following early in their career, Sledgeback have toured both locally, and internationally, playing in 2005's Vans Warped Tour and even opening for the likes of Flogging Molly to sold-out crowds. With their first album release ''People's Choice'' through Sliver Records, Sledgeback gained notoriety through bi coastal radio play and crowd pleasing shows due in large part to high intensity performances, while boasting powerfully raw, life inspired lyrics. Tim Mullen (drummer)
Tim Mullen is an American rock drummer. He was the member of the well known metal band- Himsa from 2000 to 2003. Mullen joined the Seattle punk rock band, Sledgeback in the year 2009. Musical career Tim Mullen was a member of Seattle heavy metal outfit, Himsa. He accomplished several US and European tours as member of the band, supporting acts like Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold, AFI and Hatebreed. Tim Mullen departed Himsa in 2004 and has not played in a notable project until February 2009, when he joined Sledgeback. Equipment Tim Mullen uses Gretsch Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Tama Hardware, Remo Heads, and Promark Sticks. Guy Lacey
Guy Lacey is an American rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is best known for his work with Seattle grunge rock band War Babies in the 1990s and with American punk rock outfit Sledgeback in the 2000s. He recorded the one and only album of War Babies, released on Columbia Records in 1992 including the song "In the Wind" which features in the 1992 film ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'', the forerunner to the later successful TV series. Lacey joined Sledgeback in 2006. His signature guitar style became an important part of Seattle punk rock stalwarts Sledgeback. Gábor Szakácsi
Gábor Szakácsi, also known as Gabi Hun or Gabor Hun, is a Hungarian-born American rock guitarist and vocalist, best known as the frontman of Seattle punk group Sledgeback. He fronted C.A.F.B., one of the most influential Hungarian punk bands of the 1990s, with whom he released six full-length albums between 1993 and 2017. After leaving Hungary, Hun started Sledgeback in 2004 and released several albums with the group. His distinct voice became the trademark of Sledgeback. Career Hun rose to fame in Hungary and its surrounding areas with his band C.A.F.B. following the success of their 1997 album " Zanza" which launched the group into the country's mainstream. Despite its success the band was unable to work together due to Gabor Hun's drug related problems. He has left the country after the recording sessions of their 1999 album and formed Sledgeback years later in Seattle. Parker Lundgren
Parker Lundgren (born December 28, 1986) is an American guitarist, best known for being in the progressive metal band Queensrÿche, which he joined in 2009 until 2021. Career Lundgren was born in a musical family to Julie Clouse and Scott Lundgren in Port Townsend, Washington, where he also grew up. He started playing acoustic guitar, but later switched to jazz guitar, taking both lessons and working through guitar books. Since all his friends played guitar, he always was in three or four bands, including the Port Townsend High School Jazz Band and the rock band The Nihilists, which he co-founded and played with for six years. He names Django Reinhardt as a major influence in the jazz genre, and as a fan of Chris DeGarmo, he was learning Queensrÿche songs in high school. After graduation, Lundgren moved to Seattle to build a career in music, where he played in the punk group Sledgeback. Foreign Legion (band)
Foreign Legion is a punk band from South Wales. History 1984–1991 Foreign Legion formed in 1984 from the ashes of a band called Society, later Dead On Arrival. Dead on Arrival had one song on 1984's ''Bullsheep Detector'' album. Following the name change to ''Foreign Legion'' (due partly to people shortening it to DOA, which could cause confusion with the Canadian band of that name) and a number of line-up changes (drummers in particular) the band released their first EP in 1986, on their own ''Rent a Racket'' label with the line-up of M.H. on vocals, Lynne Murphy on guitar, Helen James on bass and Paul (Marshon) Marsh on drums.
