''Slave to the Game'' is the fifth studio album by American nu metalcore band Emmure, released on April 10, 2012 through Victory Records.VictorVTV (January 20, 2012). . Retrieved February 2, 2012. The record was produced by Joey Sturgis, who also did production on the band's previous album ''Speaker of the Dead''. It is the first album to feature drummer Mark Castillo, following the band parting ways with their former drummer Mike Kaabe in October 2011. ''Slave to the Game'' is the band's highest charting album to date, peaking number 58 on the ''Billboard'' 200, and number 11 on the Top Independent chart. Despite its success, the album is frontman Frankie Palmeri’s least favorite out of the band’s work. Emmure
Emmure () is an American metalcore band formed in 2003. Originally based in New Fairfield, Connecticut, before moving to Queens, New York, the group has released eight albums, with their first public release being a 2006 EP entitled ''The Complete Guide to Needlework''. Victory Records has worked with the band throughout most of their career, starting with ''Goodbye to the Gallows'' (2007). Their second, third and fourth albums ''The Respect Issue'' (2008), ''Felony'' (2009) and ''Speaker of the Dead'' (2011) were all distributed through Victory as well. After the band's initial four-album contract with Victory expired, they signed again with Victory to distribute their fifth and sixth studio albums, ''Slave to the Game'' (2012) and ''Eternal Enemies'' (2014). Annie Zaleski is an American music journalist and author. Career Zaleski is a regular writer for mainstream media outlets such as The A.V. Club and NPR Music, and a columnist at ''Salon''. She is based in Cleveland, Ohio where she has won first place awards from the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists, including Best Arts Review (2017) and Best Feature Writing (2019). Onslaught is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Onslaught was written as a sentient psionic entity created from the consciousness of two mutants: Professor X, Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto (Marvel Comics), Magneto.
