Slashers (slamball Team)
The Slashers are one of six teams currently competing in SlamBall. History The Slashers and 3 others joined the Rumble and Mob in the first ever Slamball season. They failed to make the playoffs but in 2003 Season they made it to the championship game against the Riders, where they lost 66–60. When Slamball returned in 2008 the Slashers changed their colors from Maroon and Aqua to White and Red. That season they finished with a 7–5 record and beat the Rumble 48–46 to win their first championship. This made them the first team to compete in back-to-back championship games. Slamball is a form of basketball played with four trampolines in front of each net and boards around the court edge. The name SlamBall is the trademark of SlamBall, LLC. While SlamBall is based on basketball, it is a contact sport, with blocks, collisions and rough physical play a part of the game, similar to elements of American football and ice hockey. Professional SlamBall games aired on television with Spike TV for two seasons in 2002–2003, and the POWERade SlamBall Challenge was aired on CSTV, now CBS Sports Network, in 2007. SlamBall returned in August 2008, airing on Versus, now NBC Sports Network, and CBS. The 2008 SlamBall season aired at one point on weekends on Cartoon Network. Nathan Scott
Nathan Royal Scott is a fictional character from the CW television series ''One Tree Hill'' created by Mark Schwahn and portrayed by James Lafferty.
