Slash Discography
The solo discography of Slash (born Saul Hudson), an American-English hard rock and heavy metal guitarist, comprises five studio albums, three live albums, two extended play (EP), 10 singles, and two video album. Slash has also featured on 12 singles by other artists, released ten music videos, and made contributions to numerous other releases. After leaving the band Guns N' Roses in 1996 due to internal tensions with frontman Axl Rose, guitarist Slash experimented briefly with solo projects Slash's Blues Ball and Slash's Snakepit (the latter of which released two albums), before forming Velvet Revolver in 2002 with former Guns N' Roses bandmates Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. Along with frontman Scott Weiland and rhythm guitarist Dave Kushner, the supergroup released two successful albums, ''Contraband'' in 2004 and '' Libertad'' in 2007, before Weiland was fired in 2008 and the band went on indefinite hiatus. Saul Hudson (born July 23, 1965), better known as Slash, is a British-American musician who is best known as the lead guitarist of the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Slash has received critical acclaim and is considered one of the greatest guitarists in history. Born in Hampstead, London, Slash moved to Los Angeles with his father when he was five years old. His parents were both active in the entertainment industry; he was given the nickname "Slash" as a child by actor Seymour Cassel. In 1983 he joined the glam metal band Hollywood Rose, then in 1985 he joined Guns N' Roses (which was composed of former members of Hollywood Rose and L.A. Matt Sorum
Matthew William Sorum (born November 19, 1960) is an American drummer. He is best known as both a former member of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he recorded three studio albums, and as a member of the supergroup Velvet Revolver. Sorum is currently a member of the touring project, Kings of Chaos, and is a former member of both The Cult and Y Kant Tori Read. Sorum was also a member of Guns N' Roses side-projects, Slash's Snakepit and Neurotic Outsiders, and has released two solo albums, '' Hollywood Zen'' (2004) and ''Stratosphere'' (2014). He was the touring drummer for the supergroup Hollywood Vampires from 2015-2017. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. It is published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine and is frequently used to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists. John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which period he adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness". ''Libertad'' is the second and final studio album by American hard rock band Velvet Revolver, released on July 3, 2007. The name is Spanish and translates to " Liberty" or "freedom" in English. According to a 2007 interview with '' Rolling Stone'', along with the Stone Temple Pilots albums '' Core'' and the self-titled 2010 album, ''Libertad'' is one of only three albums lead singer Scott Weiland wrote while sober.
