Slammer (ride)
The Sky Swatter (sometimes Sky Swat) was a thrill ride which was built by S&S Power of Logan, Utah. It was marketed from 2003 to 2010; only two ''Sky Swatter''s were manufactured. The first installation of a Sky Swatter was as ''SWAT'' at Six Flags AstroWorld in Houston, Texas, which operated from 2003 until the park permanently closed at the end of the 2005 season. The ride then was moved to Six Flags New England and operated from 2006 through 2012 as ''Catapult''. The other Sky Swatter operated as ''Slammer'' at Thorpe Park from 2005 until the ride closed permanently in May 2017. History S&S Worldwide (then S&S Power) introduced the Sky Swatter at its Logan factory on October 3, 2002, as the company's first true flat ride. The ride made its debut at Six Flags AstroWorld as ''SWAT'' for the 2003 season. S&S – Sansei Technologies (formerly S&S Sports, S&S Power, and S&S Worldwide) is an American company known for its pneumatically powered amusement rides and roller coaster designing. Screamin' Swing
Screamin' Swing is a pneumatically powered pendulum ride designed and manufactured by S&S - Sansei Technologies. The ride was first installed and operated in 2004 at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, United States. On February 26th 2022 the tallest and fastest screaming swing in the world opened to SeaWorld San Antonio pass holders and to the public on March 5, 2022. Design and operation The original Screamin' Swing consists of a A-frame, supporting two arms. Each arm supports two rows of seating, back to back. Logan is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The 2020 census recorded the population was 52,778. A river rapids ride (or river rafting ride) is an amusement ride that simulates whitewater rafting. History The river rapids ride concept was proposed by Bill Crandall (general manager of AstroWorld in Houston) and developed by Intamin. AstroWorld introduced the world's first river rapids ride, Thunder River, in 1980 and popularized a concept which can now be found at most major amusement parks. Despite being an incredibly popular attraction, AstroWorld's Thunder River (being a prototype) was initially plagued by issues that were corrected in the first few seasons of operation.
