Skövde Airport
Skövde Airport is an airport located in Skövde and was inaugurated in 1989. The airport was built as Skövde's replacement for the failed project for a joint airfield, Skarlanda, for Skaraborg County near Axvall outside Skara. Lidköping-Hovby Airport and Falköping Airport were also built after Skarlanda was not implemented. History The runways were built by Skanska and Skövde Airport AB had a usage agreement of 25 years. Skövde Municipality replaced the airline as a contractual partner in 1993 and redeemed the runways early in 2012. There is currently no regular commercial flight from Skövde Airport. Previously, the airline Swedair, Flying Enterprise between 1994 and 1999 and Skyways Regional operated from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Skövde. Skövde Municipality
Skövde Municipality (''Skövde kommun'') is a municipality in Västra Götaland County in western Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Skövde. The present municipality was formed in 1971 when the ''City of Skövde'' was amalgamated with five surrounding municipalities. The number of original entities (as of 1863) is nearly 30. They had in 1952 been reduced to six. Economy The single largest employer in the municipality is Volvo, with Volvo Powertrain and Volvo Cars together employing approximately 5,000 people. Skyways Express AB was a Swedish airline that operated regional and domestic scheduled services. With its corporate head office on the property of Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in Sigtuna Municipality, Sweden, its main hub was at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. The Scandinavian Touring Car Championship (STCC) is a touring car racing series based in Scandinavia. The series took over from the Danish Touringcar Championship and Swedish Touring Car Championship, with its first season in 2011. Stockholm Central Station ( sv, Stockholms centralstation) is a railway station in Stockholm, Sweden. It is situated in the district of Norrmalm at Vasagatan/Central Plan. X 2000, also called SJ X2 or simply as X2, is an electric tilting train operated by SJ in Sweden. It was constructed by Kalmar Verkstad in Kalmar, Sweden (prior to the company being bought by Adtranz in 1996) and launched in 1990 as a first-class only train with a meal included in the ticket price, and free use of the train's fax machine. There is a bistro on board that serves snack bar-style dishes. From 1995 second class was introduced. All trains are equipped with Wi-Fi for passenger access to the Internet and were repainted grey as of 2005. Skövde () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and urban centre in Skövde Municipality and Västra Götaland County, in the Västergötland, Västergötland (Western Gothland region) in central Southern Sweden.
