Skåde
Skåde is a neighbourhood of Højbjerg, a southern district of Aarhus in Denmark. It is located 6 km south from the city centre. Skåde is the highest lying area in Aarhus municipality, with hills like Jelshøj (128 metres) and Søsterhøj (112 metres). Description The built up area of Skåde is almost exclusively residential, but the neighbourhood also comprise a larger part of the Marselisborg Forests, known as Skåde Skov. Skåde Skov includes the park like area of Hørhaven. The Moesgård estate is also situated in Skåde and comprise the Moesgård Manor, Moesgård Museum, the forest area of Moesgård Skov, and Moesgård beach. Søsterhøj
Telecommunication Tower Aarhus (Danish ''Søsterhøj Antennen'', ''Søsterhøj Senderen'' or simply ''Søsterhøj''), is a radio and television transmission tower in Aarhus, Denmark. It is the main transmission antenna in all of Aarhus. The tower is situated on the top of the hill of Søsterhøj (112 metres above sea level) in the neighbourhood of Skåde, in the district of Højbjerg. The construction of Telecommunication Tower Aarhus began in 1956, and it was finished later that same year. The tower and mast reach 216 m tall, with the tower itself at 65 metres. Moesgård Forest Mill
Moesgård Forest Mill ( da, Moesgård Skovmølle or just '' da, Skovmøllen'') is a mill and a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The mill was built in 1785 and was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 13 April 1984. The mill is situated in the Marselisborg Forests just south of the suburb Skåde and Moesgård Museum, some 6 km. south of Aarhus city center. History The mill is mentioned for the first time in 1570. It is situated in the forests south of Aarhus along the Giber Å stream which has, in spite of its short length of 12 km., serviced three mills; Rokballe, Fulden, and Moesgård mills. Højbjerg
Højbjerg is a postal district of Aarhus, Denmark. Højbjerg originated as a coastal suburb to the south of Aarhus, but has now completely merged with the city. Højbjerg is located 5 km from the city centre and had a population of 22,000 in 2005. Skåde, Holme and Fredensvang are neighbourhoods within and subdivisions of Højbjerg. Marselisborg Forests
Marselisborg Forests ( da, Marselisborgskovene), or simply Marselisborg Forest, is a forest to the south of Aarhus City in the Kingdom of Denmark. Many present day sources now includes the forest of Fløjstrup, as part of the Marselisborg Forests, upping the total area with another . Efterskole
An efterskole (literally ''"afterschool"'', plural efterskoler) is a unique type of Danish voluntary independent residential school for young people between the age of 14 to 18. At an efterskole, students can choose to spend one, two or three years finishing their primary education, and currently some 28,500 students attend one of approximately 260 such schools throughout Denmark. The schools are open to students from abroad.
