Skyline Airways Pvt. Ltd. was an airline based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was operational between 1999 and 2006 and provided scheduled services to rural destinations in Nepal, as well as charter flights. Pipara Simara (also Pipra Simra or Simara or Simra; Nepali: पिपरा सिमरा ''or'' सिमरा) is a town in Jitpursimara sub-metropolitan city in Bara District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal. Following a new agreement on air travel between India and Nepal, Pokhara Airport will be replaced by Nepal's third international airport, Pokhara International Airport in 2023. Until the 2010s, it offered regular connections to Kathmandu and Jomsom; and seasonal connections to Manang. In 2011 Buddha Air, a Nepali private airline, began international flights from Pokhara to Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, India, and announced plans to fly to New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport in the future. Phaplu Airport is a domestic airport located in Phaplu, Solududhkunda serving Solukhumbu District, a district in Province No. 1 in Nepal. History The airport was opened in October 1976 and later broadened by Sir Edmund Hillary to accommodate DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft.
