Sky News Today
''Sky News Today'' is a live news programme on Sky News which usually runs between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on weekdays. The programme was presented by two anchors, however following on from the social distancing measures due to COVID-19, and the departure of Colin Brazier from Sky News, the programme is now solo anchored. Jayne Secker is the main presenter of the programme from Monday to Thursday with Samantha Washington usually presenting the Friday edition. Overview ''Sky News Today'' was launched in September 2002, presented by Martin Stanford and Julie Etchingham, broadcast on weekdays between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Jayne Secker
Katherine Jayne Secker (born 12 July 1972) is an English journalist and newsreader for Sky News. She has presented ''Sky News Today'' on the channel since September 2014, formerly alongside Colin Brazier. Early life Secker was born in 1972 in Bedlington, Northumberland and grew up in North East England. Her mother was the Tyne Tees Television and BBC Radio Newcastle broadcaster Kathy Secker. Following A levels at Westfield School, she undertook a degree course in film and media at the University of Stirling. During that time she edited student newspapers and completed an internship with BBC Radio Newcastle. After graduating, she became an assigned BBC trainee in 1996. Career Secker joined Sky News in 2002. She spent 10 years as a foreign correspondent, frequently reporting from war zones including the Middle East. The Sarah-Jane Mee Show
''The Sarah-Jane Mee Show'' (also known as ''Sky News with Sarah Hewson'') is a weekday news programme in the United Kingdom on Sky News, presented by Sarah-Jane Mee. The slot has been part of the Sky News schedule since 2005, most notably with Kay Burley as presenter until October 2019. It combines rolling-news coverage with debates and interviews on the day's issues plus human interest stories. The show airs between 2 pm5 pm Monday to Friday. On Fridays, the show title is not used on air, however the same show format is used and presented by Belle Donati. Broadcasts The show began in its current format in October 2019 when Kay Burley and Sarah-Jane Mee swapped time slots. Isabel Webster
Isabel Webster is a British television presenter and newsreader, who currently co-hosts GB News Breakfast alongside Eamonn Holmes. Until December 2017, Webster co-hosted ''Sunrise'' on Sky News, alongside Stephen Dixon. Early life and education Webster attended St George's College, Weybridge in Surrey before studying Politics and Theology at the University of Bristol, and gained a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism from City University. Career Webster presented and reported on the radio, for local, regional and national BBC News, before joining Sky News in 2011. Webster joined Sky News as their West of England correspondent in 2011, covering stories including the floods, the trials of Ian Watkins and Vincent Tabak as well as the horsemeat scandal. Stephen Dixon (born 1 March 1974) is an English news presenter. Formerly presenting '' Sky News Sunrise'', '' Sky News at Seven'' and ''Sky News at Ten'' on Sky News, Dixon now co-presents ''Breakfast with Stephen and Anne'' on GB News. ''The Live Desk'' is a news programme which broadcast on Sky News in the United Kingdom from 8 September 2008 to 2011. Originally, ''The Live Desk'' aired twice at 9am and 1pm but from 11 January 2011 the Live Desk's 1pm edition was cancelled and subsequently only one edition was broadcast at 9a.m., presented by Charlotte Hawkins with Gillian Joseph on Friday. The programme was replaced with a standard Sky News bulletin fronted by the same newscasters later in 2011.
