Anna Botting
Anna Elizabeth Botting (born 4 November 1967) is an English news presenter with Sky News, a broadcasting network based in the United Kingdom. She currently presents Sky News from 21:00 until midnight from Monday to Thursday. Prior to the channel's rescheduling in July 2006, Botting presented '' The Sky Report'', and from then until February 2007, she presented Sky News from 18:00 to 20:00 alongside Jeremy Thompson. Background Botting, born in Cranleigh, Surrey, is the daughter of Douglas Botting, explorer and author, and Louise Botting, a company director and former broadcaster. She studied Geography at St Edmund Hall, Oxford University, before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. ''Sky News at 10'' (previously branded ''Sky News at Ten'', and now usually ''News at 10'') is a long-running nightly news programme on Sky News, airing between 10:00 pm and 10:30 pm. It is a half-hour round-up of the day's top stories with analysis of their possible impact from the channel's specialists. The show is presented by Anna Botting from Monday to Thursday and Gillian Joseph from Friday to Sunday. Sky News at Ten History The show was originally launched on 8 March 1999 following the axe of ITV's '' News at Ten''. Katherine Jayne Secker (born 12 July 1972) is an English journalist and newsreader for Sky News. Jonathan Samuels (born 1972) is a British broadcaster and journalist. He co-anchored Sky News Sunrise (Sky News), Sunrise between 2016 and 2018 and now anchors The News Hour on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as News at Ten during weekend periods. Gillian Angela Joseph (born 20 July 1969) is a British newscaster currently working for Sky News. Joseph is the anchor of weekend editions of ''Sky News at Ten''. Early life She was born in 1969 in Coventry, England. Her parents originated from Dominica in the Caribbean. Her parents returned to Dominica, where her mother worked as a teacher, but the family later returned to England. She has two daughters and a son. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen.
