''Skullage'' is a compilation/live album by American heavy metal band Black Label Society, although the first two songs are from Zakk Wylde's solo career and side project Pride & Glory. Some versions also come with a bonus DVD. Zakk Wylde
Zachary Phillip Wylde (born Jeffrey Phillip Wielandt; January 14, 1967) is an American musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and as the founder, lead guitarist, lead singer, songwriter and producer of the heavy metal band Black Label Society. His signature bulls-eye design appears on many of his guitars and is widely recognized. He was also the lead guitarist and vocalist of Pride & Glory, who released one self-titled album in 1994 before disbanding. As a solo artist, he released the albums '' Book of Shadows'' and '' Book of Shadows II''. Wylde joined the reunited Pantera in 2022 as a fill-in for original guitarist Dimebag Darrell, who died in 2004. Shot To Hell
''Shot to Hell'' is the seventh studio album by American heavy metal band Black Label Society. It was released September 12, 2006, and was the band's first record released by Roadrunner Records. Track listing Production According to Zakk Wylde, the band "just came in here and started knocking it out. That's how you make records." The cover art was originally of three nuns with shotguns (as seen in the advertisements handed out at Ozzfest 2006), but it was deemed inappropriate and was changed to three nuns playing a game of pool. The version with shotguns was used as the cover of the "Concrete Jungle" single. Reception According to AllMusic, despite the band's change of label, "not much has changed artistically, no doubt to the relief of fans. ''Order of the Black'' is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Black Label Society. It was released in North America on August 10, 2010, through E1 Music. In New Zealand and Australia, it was released by Riot Entertainment (with special cover art) and in Europe through Roadrunner Records. Release The first single "Parade of the Dead" was released on June 16. The second single of the album entitled "Crazy Horse" was released next day via iTunes. On August 9, 2010, ''Order of the Black'' was premiered at Rockline Radio, hosted by Bob Coburn. The same date, the album was posted to AOL music for streaming in its entirety (minus bonus tracks). Pride & Glory (band)
Pride & Glory was a side project formed by vocalist/guitarist Zakk Wylde (previously of Ozzy Osbourne) and White Lion members James LoMenzo and Greg D'Angelo. It was the first project for which Wylde also served as lead vocalist, prior to releasing his first solo-album, 1996's ''Book of Shadows''. Wylde subsequently formed the band Black Label Society in 1998, which remains active. Pride & Glory released one self-titled studio album before disbanding in 1994. Black Label Society is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1998 by guitarist/singer Zakk Wylde. To date, the band has released eleven studio albums, two live albums, two compilation albums, one EP, and three video albums. "In This River" is a song by American heavy metal band Black Label Society, a power ballad featured on their 2005 sixth studio album ''Mafia''. Performed entirely by guitarist, vocalist and pianist Zakk Wylde (who also wrote and produced the song), it was released as the third single from the album and reached number 32 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Dedication to Dimebag Darrell A common misconception is that Wylde wrote the song as a tribute to his close friend "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (former guitarist for bands Pantera and Damageplan), who was killed on December 8, 2004. In fact, he wrote the song many months prior to the incident, and subsequently began dedicating the song to him. James LoMenzo
James LoMenzo (born January 13, 1959) is an American heavy metal bass guitarist. He was a member of the band White Lion, performing with them from 1984 to 1991. He was later the bassist for Black Label Society, Slash's Snakepit, and Megadeth. He was announced as Megadeth's touring bassist in August 2021 and in June 2022 he fully returned to the band. Outside music, he is known for being a contestant on the 21st season of the reality television series ''The Amazing Race''. John "JD" DeServio is an American musician who has been the bassist of heavy metal band Black Label Society since 2005. He was also a member of Pride & Glory, a southern rock trio, for a short time in December 1994 (again as a replacement for Lomenzo), and was Black Label Society's original bassist, playing on the tour supporting their debut album, ''Sonic Brew''.
