Skotani
Skotani (Greek: Σκοτάνη, before 1928: Κόκοβα - ''Kokova''), is a small mountain village in the municipal unit of Paion, Achaea, Greece. In 2011 its population was 60 for the village and 99 for the community, which includes the village Agios Georgios. Skotani is 5 km east of Chovoli, 7 km northeast of Dafni, Achaea, Dafni, 7 km southwest of Kleitoria and 20 km south of Kalavryta. Its elevation is about 700 m above sea level. Population History Scotane was a town of ancient Arcadian Azania and was part of the city-state of Clitorians, Kleitor in Ancient Greece, classical antiquity. It was located near the river Ladon (river), Ladon and the Soron forest. Paion
Paion ( el, Παΐων) is a former municipality in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Its population in 2011 was 1,055. The seat of the municipality was in Dafni. The municipality was created after the Greek War of Independence and was dissolved in 1912. It was recreated in 1998 under the Capodistrian Plan. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kalavryta, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 99.325 km2. Arcadian Azania ( el, Αρκαδική Αζανία) was one of the subdivisions in ancient Arcadia along with Parrhasia and Lycaonia. Ancient Azania was in an area that are now the area of Kalavryta, Achaea and Feneos, western Corinthia. It was inhabited by the Arcadian tribe of the Azanes, named after Azan, son of the mythical king Arcas. The son of Azan was Kleitor, founder of the city Kleitor. Kleitoria
Kleitoria ( el, Κλειτορία) is a village and a municipal unit in Achaea, Peloponnese, Greece. It was also the new name of the former municipality Lefkasio, of which it was the seat, between 2008 and 2011. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kalavryta, and became a municipal unit of this municipality. The municipal unit has an area of 253.221 km2. Kalavryta
Kalavryta ( el, Καλάβρυτα) is a town and a municipality in the mountainous east-central part of the regional unit of Achaea, Greece. The town is located on the right bank of the river Vouraikos, south of Aigio, southeast of Patras and northwest of Tripoli. Achaea () or Achaia (), sometimes transliterated from Greek as Akhaia (, ''Akhaïa'' ), is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of Western Greece and is situated in the northwestern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. The capital is Patras which is the third largest city in Greece. Cleitor or Kleitor ( grc, Κλείτωρ or Κλήτωρ), also known as Clitorium, was a town in ancient Arcadia. Situation It possessed a small territory called Cleitoria or Kleitoria (Κλειτορία), bounded on the east by the territory of Pheneus, on the west by that of Psophis, on the north by that of Cynaetha and Achaea, and on the south by the territories of Caphyae, Tripolis, and Thelpusa. The lofty Aroanian Mountains formed the northeast boundary of the territory of Cleitor, separating it from that of Pheneus. In these mountains the river Aroanius (the modern Phoniatiko) rises, which flowed through the territory of Cleitor from north to south, and falls into the Ladon near the sources of the latter.
