Alison Skipworth
Alison Skipworth (born Alison Mary Elliott Margaret Groom; 25 July 18635 July 1952) was an English stage and screen actress. Early years Skipworth was born in London. She was the daughter of Dr. Richard Ebenezer Groom and Elizabeth Rodgers, and she had a private education. Stage Alison Skipworth made her first stage appearance at Daly's Theatre in London in 1894, in ''A Gaiety Girl''. Her first American performance came the following year at the Broadway Theatre in New York City. She sang in light opera in ''An Artist's Model''. In this production she served as understudy to Marie Tempest. After performing in two London plays, Skipworth returned to the United States, and made it her home. She joined the company of Daniel Frohman at the Lyceum. There she made her debut as ''Mrs. Ware'' in '' The Princess and the Butterfly'' in 1897. Hayden Skipworth (born 25 February 1983) is a former Australian Rules Football, Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL) with the Adelaide Football Club and the Essendon Football Club. Kyle Trent Skipworth (born March 1, 1990) is an American former professional baseball catcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Miami Marlins in 2013. Career Skipworth attended Patriot High School. He won the Gatorade High School Baseball Player of the Year Award in 2008. Lachlan Skipworth
Lachlan Skipworth (born 1982) is an Australian composer based in Perth, Western Australia. His works span across orchestral, chamber, vocal and experimental music and is heavily influenced by the Japanese shakuhachi and the honkyoku aesthetic. Skipworth co-founded the new music ensemble Intercurrent in 2015, along with percussionist Louise Devenish, pianist Emily Green-Armytage and clarinettist Ashley William Smith. He also founded the chamber music collective Cygnus Arioso with his wife, violinist Akiko Miyazawa. Both ensembles are based in Perth, Western Australia. Education Skipworth played in a wind quintet in high school, which introduced him to chamber music. Todd Skipworth (born 15 February 1985) is an Australian former lightweight rower and triathlete. He was a nine-time national champion rower, a world champion and dual Olympian. His 2011 rowing world championship was won in the men's lightweight coxless four and he competed in that boat class at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Skipworth's Addition is an archeological site located near Harwood, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It was identified in 1990 when the owners of the property unearthed several large pieces of North Devon pottery. Later excavation produced 17th-century artifacts, including glass, tobacco pipes, nails, refined earthenwares, and coarse ceramics, which confirm this site to be that of Skipworth's Addition.
