Skindive
Skindive was an Irish electronic rock band formed in the late 1990s in Dublin. The band incorporated electronic sounds into often harsh and atmospheric music and comparisons were often drawn to the band Garbage because of the juxtaposition of heavily distorted guitars and clean female vocals. Formation ''Skindive'' was formed in 1999 by Gerry Owens. Owens had previously been living in London playing with a series of groups which met with little or no success. Once returning to Dublin, Owens began working on writing his own music which eventually formed into the creation of the band. Owens found his bassist (Alan Lee) and drummer (Ger Farrell) during the first four months of recruiting but found it tougher to pick the right voice to go with his music and lyrics. Gerry Owens (musician)
Gerry Owens is the vocalist, songwriter, arranger, and producer of Irish industrial rock band Lluther. Owens was born in Dublin, Ireland. His father was a musician. After spending some time in London and playing in a series of bands, he returned to Dublin to form Skindive, who were quickly signed by Chris Blackwell (founder of Island Records) to his Palm Pictures label. Owens wrote, arranged, recorded and co-produced the Skindive album, from which the music was featured on the Grammy Awards 2002, MTV Movie Awards 2002 and MTV Road Rules. He signed a worldwide publishing deal with SonyATV Music Publishing in 2006 with his new Industrial Rock project Lluther producing two albums; ''Agents of Empire'' in 2006 and ''Rise Of The Reptile Kind'' in 2011. Lluther is an Irish noise rock/alternative metal band from Dublin, Ireland, founded in 2004 by songwriter/producer Gerry Owens. The band has released two studio albums, one EP, and seven singles. Owens has worked with notable industry professionals that include Chris Blackwell (U2, Tricky, Bob Marley, etc.), Dave 'Rave' Ogilvie, Danny Saber, Chris O’Brien, and Richard Dowling. The studio album Rise of the Reptile King, released in 2011 has spawned four singles released throughout 2010 including ''In The Dollhouse'', ''King Of Nothing'', ''Rise Of The Reptile King'', and ''Femme Fatale''. Alan Branch
Alan Keith Branch (born December 29, 1984) is a former American football defensive tackle. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft and has also played for the Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills, and New England Patriots. He played college football at Michigan. Early years Branch attended Cibola High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition to playing on the defensive line, Branch also played tight end as well as running back and punt returner in high school. He scored three rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns in his senior season and five punt return touchdowns for his career. Island Records is a multinational record label owned by Universal Music Group. It was founded in 1959 by Chris Blackwell, Graeme Goodall, and Leslie Kong in Jamaica, and was eventually sold to PolyGram in 1989. Today FM is an Irish national commercial FM radio station, owned and operated by Bauer Audio Ireland Limited. Broadcasting since 17 March 1997, it broadcasts mostly music, with a daily news and current affairs programme. Today FM holds a licence from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland as far as the year 2027. The station recorded pretax profits of €7.4 million on a turnover of €19.4 million in early 2009, more than twice what it was two years previously. Skinny Puppy
Skinny Puppy is a Canadian industrial music group formed in Vancouver in 1982. The group is among the founders of the industrial rock and electro-industrial genres. Initially envisioned as an experimental side-project by cEvin Key (Kevin Crompton) while he was in the new wave band Images in Vogue, Skinny Puppy evolved into a full-time project with the addition of vocalist Nivek Ogre (Kevin Ogilvie). Over the course of 13 studio albums and many live tours, Key and Ogre have been the only constant members.
