Skien Isstadion
Skien Isstadion is an outdoor ice skating rink with artificial ice in Skien, Norway. It is part of Skien Fritidspark at Klosterskogen. The ice rink is used mostly by schools and families with small children. It is also used for speed skating practice. The outdoor season starts in mid-October and lasts until Easter. The ice skating rink was opened in 1985 and is equipped with floodlights. Skien
Skien () is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county in Norway. In modern times it is regarded as part of the traditional region of Grenland, although historically it belonged to Grenmar/Skiensfjorden, while Grenland referred the Norsjø area and Bø. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Skien. Skien is also the capital of Vestfold og Telemark county. Skien is one of Norway's oldest cities, with an urban history dating back to the Middle Ages, and received privileges as a market town in 1358. Skien Fritidspark is a multi-purpose stadium located in Skien, Norway. It was completed in 2008, and is built around Skienshallen from 1968. A floodlight is a broad-beamed, high-intensity artificial light. They are often used to illuminate outdoor playing fields while an outdoor sports event is being held during low-light conditions.
