The ski jumping at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 was part of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 that took place in Sapporo, Japan, on February 24, February 25, and March 3, 2007. Individual normal (HS100) hill On March 3, 2007, at the Miyanomori (HS100) jumping hill, Slovenia's Rok Benkovič was the defending champion and finished 27th in this event at these games. Adam Małysz (Poland) won his fourth gold medal handily by having the longest jumps in both rounds of competition, the largest margin of victory in the event's history at the World Championships. The two World Cup leaders, Anders Jacobsen (Norway) and Gregor Schlierenzauer (Austria), finished seventh and eighth respectively. FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 took place 22 February – 4 March 2007 in Sapporo, Japan. It was the second time this city has hosted these championships, having previously done so in the 1972 Winter Olympics. Sapporo was selected as venue by vote at the 43rd FIS World Congress in Portorož, Slovenia, on 6 June 2002. It also marked the third time the championships were hosted outside Europe in a year that did not coincide with the Winter Olympics; it was the first championship held in Asia. Dimitry Gennadyevich Ipatov (russian: Дмитрий Геннадьевич Ипатов) (born June 30, 1984 in Magadan) is a Russian ski jumper who has been competing since 2002. Competing in two Winter Olympics, he earned his best finish of eighth in the team large hill event at Turin in 2006. Ipatov's best finish at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships was fifth in the team normal hill at the 2005 championships in Oberstdorf while his best individual finish was ninth at Sapporo in 2007. His best finish at the Ski-flying World Championships was seventh in the team event (2004, 2006) while his best individual finish was 39th (2004). Tom André Hilde (; born 22 September 1987) is a Norwegian former ski jumper. Career Having first competed with the Norwegian World Cup team in 2006, he won two silver medals in the team large hill event at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships ( 2007, 2009). The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 took place February 18 – March 1, 2003 in Val di Fiemme, Italy for a second time (1991). Martin Höllwarth (born 13 April 1974) is an Austrian former ski jumper. Career At the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, he won three silver medals. At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, he won bronze in the team large hill competition. Wolfgang Loitzl (born 13 January 1980) is an Austrian former ski jumper. He was the winner of the 2008–09 Four Hills Tournament and the 2009 Normal Hill World Champion. Harri Olli
Harri Juhani Olli (born 15 January 1985) is a Finnish former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level from 2002 to 2016. He scored three individual World Cup wins, four individual Continental Cup wins, and an individual silver medal at the 2007 World Championships. Career Before the FIS Ski Flying World Championships 2008 in Oberstdorf, Olli had had a night out in a bar. Nonetheless both his jumps were over 200 metres, which gave him the sixth place in the final results. In August 2008 Olli was dismissed from the national team for a second time. He had been drunk during the Summer Grand Prix tour in central Europe and was late for the ride to the competition venue next morning.
