''Skelethon'' is the sixth studio album by American hip hop artist Aesop Rock. It was released through Rhymesayers Entertainment on July 10, 2012. Music The album is entirely produced by Aesop Rock himself. Guest appearances include Allyson Baker, Hanni El Khatib, Rob Sonic, Kimya Dawson, Murs, and Blueprint. The album's artwork was done by Aryz. Aesop has described death as a recurring motif on the album, stating: Release Music videos were created for "Zero Dark Thirty", "ZZZ Top", and "Cycles to Gehenna". A music video for "ZZZ Top" features the martial arts master Patti Li. The album debuted at number 21 on the ''Billboard'' 200 with 14,000 copies sold in its first week. It has sold over 52,000 copies as of April 2016. Ian Matthias Bavitz (born June 5, 1976), better known by his stage name Aesop Rock, is an American rapper and producer from Long Island, New York. He was at the forefront of the new wave of underground and alternative hip hop acts that emerged during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He was signed to El-P's Definitive Jux label until it went on hiatus in 2010. In a 2010 retrospective, betterPropaganda ranked him at number 19 at the ''Top 100 Artists of the Decade''. ''The Impossible Kid'' is the seventh studio album by American hip hop artist Aesop Rock. It was released on April 29, 2016, through Rhymesayers Entertainment. The production was handled by Aesop Rock himself. The cover art was created by Alex Pardee. To accompany the release of the album, Rob Shaw directed an abridged shot-for-shot remake of '' The Shining'' using small figurines, which was set to the album in its entirety. Additionally, music videos were created for "Rings", "Blood Sandwich", "Lazy Eye", "Dorks", "Kirby", "Shrunk", and "Get Out of the Car"; released eight years after the death of the song's subject and Aesop's good friend, Camu Tao. Albert Andrew Shepard, (born July 11, 1974), better known by his stage name Blueprint, is an American rapper and record producer from Columbus, Ohio. He is a founder of Weightless Recordings. Blueprint is one half of the duo Soul Position along with producer RJD2. He is also a member of the rap group Greenhouse (formerly known as Greenhouse Effect), which currently consists of himself and Illogic. The duo also run a podcast "Super Duty Tough Work" which airs on YouTube, SoundCloud, and other platforms. Life and career Blueprint first gained underground attention as a member of the crew Greenhouse Effect.
