Nikki Sixx
Nikki Sixx (born Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna Jr.; December 11, 1958) is an American musician, best known as the co-founder, bassist, and primary songwriter of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. Prior to forming Mötley Crüe, Sixx was a member of Sister before going on to form London with his Sister bandmate Lizzie Grey. In 2000, he formed side project group 58 with Dave Darling, Steve Gibb and Bucket Baker, issuing one album, ''Diet for a New America''. Also in 2002, he formed the hard rock supergroup Brides of Destruction with L.A. Guns guitarist Tracii Guns. Formed in 2006, initially to record an audio accompaniment to Sixx's autobiography '' The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star'', his side band Sixx:A.M. features songwriter, producer, and vocalist James Michael and guitarist DJ Ashba. ''Hand aufs Herz'' (''Hand on Heart'') is a German soap opera and premiered on October 4, 2010 on the private broadcasting station Sat.1. It got canceled in June 2011, announcing the series finale for September 5, 2011. However that changed when Sat.1 decided to drop the show from its line-up and sixx was announced to air the remaining episodes; with a one-hour series finale on September 2, 2011. The show focuses around a fictional high school in Cologne and tackles with young love, a marriage crisis, a mysterious disappearance, schemes and competition fights, coming out, drug abuse, career chances and forbidden feelings. ''Hand aufs Herz'' also introduces something completely new to the genre of a soap opera by including music and dance as one of the main elements. ''Germany's Next Topmodel'' (often abbreviated as ''GNTM'') is a German reality television series, based on a concept introduced by Tyra Banks with ''America's Next Top Model''. The competition is hosted by Heidi Klum who also serves as the lead judge and executive producer of the show. The show is heavily criticized in Germany because of the treatment of its contestants. Show format Each annual search of ''Germany's Next Topmodel'' has 10 to 17 episodes and starts with 12–31 contestants. During each episode, one contestant is eliminated, though a double/triple elimination or no elimination was given by the consensus of the judging panel. Makeovers are administered to contestants early in the competition (usually after the first or second elimination in the finals). ''Cutting It'' is a BBC television drama series set in Manchester, England, focusing on the lives and loves of the team running a hairdressing salon. It ran for four series between 2002 and 2005. The show featured a number of actors who have since become established stars, including Amanda Holden and Ben Daniels.
