Sixth June
Sixth June are an audio/visual project from Berlin with origins in Belgrade, formed in 2007 by visual artist Laslo Antal and actress Lidija Andonov. All their releases have seen the pair explore multiple sides to their dark cinematic post new wave sound. History In 2009 Sixth June performed at Exit (festival), EXIT Festival in Novi Sad. 2010 they moved to Berlin and released their first album ''Everytime'' on German label Genetic Music and had appearance at BIMfest in Antwerp. The Sixth June Video “Oh no it's burning” was part of the ''Berlin Music Week''. On sixth June 2011 they released the EP ''Back For A Day''. 2012 they were performing at Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Germany. 2013 they released the mini album ''Pleasure'' and had appearance at ''Nuit Fantastique'' in Brussels and Summer Darkness in Utrecht. Depeche Mode
Depeche Mode are an English electronic music band formed in Basildon, Essex, in 1980. The band currently consists of Dave Gahan (lead vocals and co-songwriting) and Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, co-lead vocals and main songwriting). Depeche Mode, originally formed by the lineup of Gahan, Gore, Andy Fletcher and Vince Clarke, released their debut album '' Speak & Spell'' in 1981, bringing the band onto the British new wave scene. After founding member Clarke left following the release of the album, they recorded '' A Broken Frame'' as a trio. Gore took over as main songwriter and later, in 1982, Alan Wilder replaced Clarke, establishing a lineup that continued for 13 years. Bauhaus (band)
Bauhaus are an English rock band formed in Northampton in 1978. Known for their dark image and gloomy sound, Bauhaus are best known as one of the pioneers of gothic rock, although they mixed many genres, including dub, glam rock, psychedelia, and funk. The group consists of Daniel Ash (guitar, saxophone), Peter Murphy (vocals, occasional instruments), Kevin Haskins (drums) and David J (bass). Mask (Bauhaus Album)
''Mask'' is the second studio album by English gothic rock band Bauhaus. It was released on 16 October 1981 by record label Beggars Banquet. Content Bauhaus expanded their style a bit on ''Mask'', particularly by incorporating keyboards and acoustic guitar on songs such as "The Passion of Lovers", and funk rhythms and saxophone on tracks like "Kick in the Eye", "Dancing" and "In Fear of Fear". The album cover is a drawing by guitarist Daniel Ash. The original artwork for the album was a gatefold sleeve with blue text on the inside and a stark black-and-white image of the band. ''Dead Can Dance'' is the debut studio album by Australian musical act Dead Can Dance. It was released on 27 February 1984 on the 4AD label. Background Dead Can Dance commented on their official website regarding the name of the band and album: To understand why we chose the name, think of the transformation of inanimacy to animacy. Think of the processes concerning life from death and death into life. So many people missed the inherent symbolic intention of the work, and assumed that we must be "morbid gothic types". Production The album was recorded at Blackwing Studios. The musicians who performed on the album were Brendan Perry, Lisa Gerrard, Paul Erikson, James Pinker and Peter Ulrich. ''Music for the Masses'' is the sixth studio album by English electronic music band Depeche Mode, released on 28 September 1987 by Mute Records. The album was supported by the Music for the Masses Tour, which launched their fame in the US when they performed at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The tour led to the creation and filming of the documentary/live album titled ''101''. This saw the band using heavy amounts of sampling, much like they did in their previous album '' Black Celebration''. The Cure
The Cure are an English rock band formed in 1978 in Crawley, West Sussex.
